A serious case of kidnapping, assault and inhuman treatment of a couple has come to light in village Tibupura of Siddiqganj police station area of ​​Sehore district. According to the information, Himmat Singh Banjara, resident of Shankarpur village of Ujjain district, along with his wife had come to Bhatkund village of Sonkutch tehsil of Dewas on Thursday (April 30) to attend the funeral of an acquaintance. The accused were already waiting in ambush.

It is being told that Bahadur Singh Banjara, resident of Tibupura village, had got information about the arrival of the couple. After this, he along with some of his companions sat in ambush on Chaubara Jagir road. As soon as Himmat Singh passed by on his motorcycle with his wife, the accused stopped them.

Couple assaulted without any conversation

According to eyewitnesses, the accused started beating the couple without any conversation. Both of them were beaten severely, due to which they got injured. Even after this, the anger of the accused did not subside and they forcibly made the couple sit in a four wheeler. Even during this period, misbehavior and beatings continued.

It is alleged that the couple was put in a vehicle and taken to Tibupura village, where they were beaten up again. Not only this, the accused humiliated her by garlanding her with shoes, which is considered a very objectionable act from the social point of view. Someone also made a video of this entire incident, which is now going viral on social media.

Police reached the spot and freed the couple.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Siddikganj police station came into action and reached the spot and freed the couple from the grip of the accused. The police evacuated the victims safely and sent them for treatment and registered a case under various sections. According to police sources, in the preliminary investigation this matter is being said to be related to the break in the engagement of a minor girl. Two arrested including main accused

As part of the action, the police have arrested one other accused including the main accused, while the search for the remaining accused is going on. Police say that continuous raids are being conducted to arrest other accused and everyone will be arrested soon and legal action will be taken. SP MP from Ghazipur Afzal Ansari has got relief from the court in the case of his controversial statement regarding ganja in Kumbh. Ansari has got interim relief from Allahabad High Court. The study included two experiments. In the first, 17 healthy young men followed the routine and were compared to a control period. In the second, 22 young adults were tested before and after the program to see how it affected their movement during an agility task.

The researchers stressed that proper technique — particularly involving the toes and ankle positioning — is important to achieving the intended benefits.

They suggested the routine may be most useful when performed in the morning, as a way to “wake up” the body’s balance and coordination systems.

But not every fitness marker improved, according to the researchers. They did not find significant gains in grip strength, standing long jumps, 50-meter sprint performance or other measures tied more closely to raw strength and explosive power. “The most meaningful finding to us was not simply that flexibility improved, but that balance and side-step performance also improved without significant changes in maximal strength or power,” Atomi said.

The routine, therefore could serve as a tool rather than a full workout replacement. The authors said the findings should be viewed as early evidence supporting feasibility, not proof of clinical effectiveness.

“Two weeks is too short to build muscle and the data confirm that,” said Jordan Weiss, assistant professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a scientific writer at Assisted Living Magazine. “What did improve was coordination, which is the brain learning faster than the body can grow.”

Weiss added that short-term improvements may also reflect how quickly participants adapt to the testing itself.

“Healthy young adults adapt to almost any motor task within days,” he said. “Some of this is real neural change, and some is just familiarity with the test.”

Nonetheless, the researchers said the approach may be worth studying further in older adults and in rehabilitation settings, especially because the routine is low-load and can be performed in a safe and stable position.

Eleven horses on a 1-mile dirt track for three-year-olds with a $375K purse. 

#10 Englishman (3-1 on the morning-line)

I hate betting favorites, but I cannot get past the 2-0 Englishman. Although I’m betting this race lightly and using the #10, and maybe the #4 in my multi-race wagers.

Nevertheless, he won his maiden at Churchill by 7.25 lengths and his 2026 debut by 7.5 lengths at the second- (97) and third-fastest (95) Beyer speed figures of any horse in the Pat Day field.

Englishman has blazing-fast early speed and he should get to the rail quickly because he is running out of the first post. Three of his four workouts this month have been great and Englishman looks ready to win his first stakes race.

Race 9: Grade 1 American Turf Stakes, 4:06 p.m. ET post time 

Thirteen horses on a one-and-one-sixteenth-mile turf track for three-year-olds with a $1 million purse. 

#7 Alpyland (8-1)

He’s won four of his last five races and has gone off as the favorite in two of his three outings this year. Alpyland has two wins and a third this season, running an 84 (twice) and 85 Beyer in those races, which is fast enough to win the American Turf.

#14 Final Score (8-1)

This being Final Score’s 2026 debut is definitely a concern. However, Final Score was 3-1 as a two-year-old. Those wins are in his last three starts, all at this distance. His last two wins were stakes races: Grade 3 With Anticipation and Grade 2 Bourbon.

Final Score’s elite connections, Mike Repole (owner) and Todd Pletcher (trainer), wouldn’t put him in this race if they didn’t think he could win. Repole and Pletcher got the best jockey in horse racing, Irad Ortiz, to ride him.

Lastly, I’ll admit to my bias: Two of Final Score’s wins are in Saratoga, my hometown and the greatest race track in the world.

Race 10: Grade 1 Churchill Downs Stakes, 4:50 p.m. ET post time 

Eleven horses on a seven-furlong dirt track for four-year-olds and upward with a $1 million purse. 

#1 Disco Time (6-1)

He’s gone off as the favorite in all seven career races (5-1-0). The Brad Cox trainee is cutting back to seven furlongs and two graded stakes two-turn races to start the season. Disco Time has won his only race at this distance and both times he’s run on the Churchill Downs dirt.

#11 Point Fume (15-1)

Point Fume has won all three races as a five-year-old, with the most recent being the Grade 2 Carter last month. His last six workouts have been insanely fast and he’s run 104 and 101 Beyers in his last two races.

The Into Mischief colt has gone off at a shorter price six straight races and he won the last time he was above 10-1. Seven furlongs is a sprint and Point Fume has the second-fastest “early speed” in this field.

Race 11: Grade 1 Turf Classic Stakes, 5:39 p.m. ET post time 

Nine horses on a one-and-one-eighth-mile turf track for four-year-olds and upward with a $1.5 million purse. 

#4 Program Trading (4-1)

Again, I’ll show my bias, but his trainer, Chad Brown, is a native Saratogian who prints money on The Spa‘s turf during the summer. Program Trading won this same race two years ago but hasn’t matched his 102 Beyer since.

Also, he is changing jockeys and putting on blinkers for this race. Between his experience in graded stakes races and his connections, I like how Program Trading is approaching the Turf Classic.

He has tactical speed and the third-fastest closing kick in this field. Hence, I’m expecting Program Trading to be around the lead coming down the stretch and have enough in the tank to outrun his rivals.

Race 12: Grade 1 Kentucky Derby, 6:57 p.m. ET post time 

Nineteen horses on a 1.25-mile dirt track for three-year-olds with a $5 million purse. 

#6 Commandment (6-1)

Entering on four straight wins, including two consecutive graded stakes races, Commandment has been the betting favorite in four of his five career races.

He won the Grade 1 Florida Derby, which is supposed to be the best prep race for the Kentucky Derby and the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth. He likes the Churchill dirt and broke his maiden with a 5.25-length win in November. 

#12 Chief Wallabe (8-1)

There was nothing wrong with his second in the Fountain of Youth and third in the Florida Derby. He ran a 100 Beyer and lost by a neck in the Fountain and a 99 Beyer and lost by a half-length in Florida.

That 100 Beyer is tied for the third-fastest in this race, so he is fast enough to win the Derby. Chief Wallabe’s trainer, Bill Mott, is a two-time Kentucky Derby winner and the reigning champion with Sovereignty. 

#14 Potente (20-1) 

Trained by record-tying six-time Kentucky Derby winner Bob Baffert, Potente has a faster speed figure in all three career races (2-1-0). He needs to take another step forward to win the Derby, but his April 26 workout was the fastest among 23 other horses.

Potente was the favorite in two of his three races, including a second-place finish to #8 So Happy at the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby his last time out. Into Mischief’s son has a versatile running style, going wire-to-wire in his maiden win and coming from mid-pack to win the Grade 2 San Felipe two starts back.

A strange incident has come to light in Dehradun amidst the preparations for Census 2027. The 35 teachers deployed on duty neither attended the training nor went to the areas where they were supposed to count the houses. Some deliberately entered wrong mobile numbers to avoid duty and some simply switched off their phones. Now the Municipal Corporation has filed a complaint against all of them in the city police station and is preparing to file a case.

The picture that has emerged is quite shocking. Many teachers, at the time of registration, entered numbers which were not actually theirs. Many of those who gave correct numbers stopped picking up the phone. The result was that despite repeated attempts, they could not be contacted during the training session. This turning away from responsibility is going to cost the department heavily as other employees will have to be appointed in their place.

Negligence in duty can lead to jail along with fine

Taking this seriously, Municipal Corporation charge officer Ramesh Singh Rawat has submitted a complaint to the police under the Census Act 1948. Under this law, there is a provision of imprisonment up to three years along with fine for negligence in duty.

Why is this problem only in Dehradun?

Eva Ashish Srivastava, Director of Directorate of Census Operations, Uttarakhand, clarified that this problem is not facing the entire state but only in Dehradun Municipal Corporation area. At present no such case has been reported in other districts. He also said that official information about the disappearance of 35 employees has not reached him because this responsibility lies with the Principal Charge Officer. However, he admitted the problem of absence in training.

According to the director, census work is going on in the field. Perspective maps are being made and door-to-door survey has also started. Under the ‘Har Dwar, Dastak’ campaign, enumerators are going door-to-door and preparing the list of houses. Complete information of every family is being recorded in the mobile app through about 33-34 questions including electricity, water, toilet etc. A review of the pace of work on the portal will also begin from this week so that it can be known where the work is slow. The first phase in Uttarakhand will run from 25 April to 24 May 2026.

Counting will happen first in hilly districts

The actual population census will take place in the second phase. In snowy districts like Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi, this work will be completed only in September 2026 because it becomes almost impossible to reach there in winter. The main population census in the remaining districts will be held in February 2027.

At present, a complaint has been filed against 35 teachers and it is considered certain that a case will be registered. If they are proved guilty in the investigation, they can face jail along with fine. This case is also a strong message for the other employees who are thinking of taking government duty lightly.

MAY DAY DEMONSTRATIONS DRAW THOUSANDS ACROSS THE US

May Day’s roots trace back to the 19th century, when Marxists, socialists and labor unions called for a day of strikes in Paris and later became a national holiday in the Soviet Union after the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. 

While May Day began as an effort to protect worker rights, the big-money political operations of labor unions today give the protest a partisan bias that is focused very much today on anti-Trump rhetoric, critics say. Approximately 600 groups with $2 billion in an active annual revenues were slated to host an estimated 6,000 events nationwide for pro-socialist May Day demonstrations on Friday, a Fox News Digital investigation found.
