Jon Rahm addresses whether he regrets leaving PGA Tour for LIV Golf: ‘Never an argument in my mind’

When Jon Rahm left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf in late 2023, it felt like a seismic shift in the battle between the two tours.

Rahm, already a two-time major winner, including the 2023 Masters earlier that year, joined Bryson DeChambeau and gave LIV arguably two of the best four players in the world. Along with Brooks Koepka, known for his prowess in the biggest tournaments, Dustin Johnson, and legendary players like Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia.

While many defections could be hand waved away, Rahm’s departure felt like a major blow and the type of move that could lead to a merger and reunification of the game. Fast forward a few years, and the situation has changed completely.

LIV is now facing a significant funding crisis, as well as questions about the tour’s ability to continue operating after the 2026 season. The PGA Tour, which was caught off guard by LIV’s foundation and seemed immediately on the back foot, suddenly has the upper hand.

LIV GOLF’S END MAY BE IMMINENT AS REPORT SIGNALS SAUDI ARABIA IS PREPARING TO CUT OFF FUNDING

What happens next is anyone’s guess; several players have committed to staying with LIV, or at least, not returning to the PGA Tour. Others are up in the air, like Bryson DeChambeau, whose contract expires after this season. Then there’s Rahm. One of the most competitive golfers in the world, who immediately made arrangements with the DP World Tour to allow him to play in future tournaments, should he need to.

Ahead of this week’s PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia, Rahm was, of course, asked about his decision to leave and whether he now regrets it, considering the challenges LIV faces. Golf Digest’s Shane Ryan brought up his decision in 2023 and the thought that it might be the catalyst to reunify the game.

JON RAHM REACHES AGREEMENT WITH DP WORLD TOUR, TRIGGERING MAJOR SPECULATION ABOUT A LIV GOLF EXIT

“I was never like thinking that I was going to be any sort of weight that would tip the scales to make things come together. That was never an argument in my mind,” he said.

“When asked if that was the case for people to come together, that would be great. I never made a decision based on that.”

As to whether he regrets leaving, Rahm answered by saying he never approaches decisions that way.

ZERO BS. JUST DAKICH. TAKE THE DON’T @ ME PODCAST ON THE ROAD. DOWNLOAD NOW!

“Now, I would also say I’ve made a lot of decisions in my life, and I’ve never gone back thinking, ‘Oh, had I known this again, I would do X and Y different,’” he explained. “I could do that about 15 different golf shots on the golf course every single day. If I lived my life like that as a golfer, I would be a very pessimistic person … just to speculate on what could have done, what could have been different doesn’t really make much sense.”

Rahm is an intelligent, insightful person with a tremendous impact on the game. It’s possible, if not likely, that he did hope his move to LIV would be, if not decisive, important in reunifying the game. And it likely was, as discussions between LIV’s backers and the PGA seemed to increase after his move. Though that dynamic has now changed, dramatically.

He’s also infamously intense when he gets on the course, and there’s little doubt he’d be concerned or unhappy if the quality of play on LIV decreases, should the tour’s funding diminish without Saudi Arabia’s financial support. Particularly because he remains in the prime of his career at just 31 years old.

Whatever the outcome, golf fans want to see Rahm compete against the best. Hopefully that becomes more common moving forward.

Microsoft addresses 137 vulnerabilities in May’s Patch Tuesday, including 13 rated critical

0

Microsoft addressed another triple-digit batch of vulnerabilities cutting across its various enterprise products, components and underlying systems. Yet despite the high number of defects, the vendor reported no actively exploited zero-days in this month’s Patch Tuesday update.

Thirteen of the 137 vulnerabilities Microsoft disclosed were assigned critical CVSS ratings, including a pair of vulnerabilities affecting Azure — CVE-2026-33109 and CVE-2026-42823 — and CVE-2026-42898 in Microsoft Dynamics 365 with 9.9 CVSS scores.

The company designated 13 vulnerabilities as more likely to be exploited, and 113 defects as less likely or unlikely to be exploited.

The high volume of vulnerabilities reflects a growing trend researchers have been anticipating as artificial intelligence models are deployed to find previously uncovered defects in code.

While not all of these bugs were found by AI, it’s likely they had an AI-related component — even if it was just AI writing the submission,” Dustin Childs, head of threat awareness at Trend Micro’s Zero Day Initiative, wrote in a blog post Tuesday.

Childs was especially intrigued by CVE-2026-41096, which he described as a “nasty-looking bug” in Microsoft Windows DNS that allows unauthorized attackers to run code remotely.

“No authentication or user interaction needed, and since the DNS Client runs on virtually every Windows machine, the attack surface is enormous. An attacker with a position to influence DNS responses could achieve unauthenticated remote-code execution across your enterprise,” he added.

Childs also described CVE-2026-41089, a Windows Netlogon defect that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to run code, as the “highest-impact bug that requires immediate patching,” adding that a “compromised domain controller is a compromised domain.”

Jack Bicer, director of vulnerability research at Action1, called out CVE-2026-42898, the critical vulnerability affecting Microsoft Dynamics 365.

“With no user interaction required, and the potential to impact systems beyond the vulnerable component’s original security scope, this vulnerability poses serious enterprise risk: an attacker with only basic access could turn a business application server into a remote execution platform,” he said in a blog post.

“Compromise of Dynamics 365 infrastructure can expose customer records, operational workflows, financial information, and integrated business systems. Since CRM environments often connect with identity services, databases, and enterprise applications, successful exploitation could lead to broader organizational compromise and operational disruption,” Bicer added.

The full list of vulnerabilities addressed this month is available in Microsoft’s Security Response Center.

US court pauses decision blocking Trump’s 10 percent global tariff | International Trade News

0

A coalition of 24 states have argued that Trump’s latest tariffs do not meet the standards of 1974 Trade Act.

A federal appeals court in the United States has temporarily paused a lower court decision to block President Donald Trump’s 10 percent global tariff.

On Tuesday, a US federal appeals court issued a short-term administrative stay as the court case continues.

At stake is whether the tariff issued under Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act falls within the scope of Trump’s presidential authority.

Trump imposed the sweeping 10 percent import tax in January, after the Supreme Court struck down another set of far-reaching tariffs that the president justified using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

In that case, the Supreme Court ruled that the IEEPA does not authorise the president to impose blanket tariffs, as Trump had argued.

Similar questions have arisen about Trump’s new tariff policy. On Friday, a panel at the US Court of International Trade ruled two to one that Trump had failed to meet the criteria under Section 122 to apply the new tariffs.

“The President’s Proclamation fails to assert that those required conditions have been satisfied,” the lower-court ruling asserts.

It added that the proclamation “is invalid, and the tariffs imposed on Plaintiffs are unauthorized by law”.

Tuesday’s appeals court decision paused that ruling temporarily, to allow the White House time to respond.

But the plaintiffs — a coalition of 24 states — have argued that Trump’s tariff campaign is an abuse of executive power. They have also pointed to the downstream effects, as consumers shoulder the costs of the added taxes.

“It’s American consumers and businesses that have ultimately paid for the president’s illegal tariff campaign,” Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown said in a statement following Friday’s ruling.

A consumer price index report issued on Tuesday suggested that Trump’s tariff campaign has been reflected in a spike in consumer good costs.

Prices for both apparel and electronics prices rose by 0.6 percent, while the cost of toys and furniture leapt higher by 0.8 percent.

The legal challenge to the Section 122 tariffs is only one hurdle Trump’s tax policy faces.

Under Section 122, the 10 percent global tariff is scheduled to expire in July, unless extended by Congress. Its term is otherwise capped at 150 days.

Critics have also pointed to the uncertainty and regulatory hassle of reversing such tariffs.

Tuesday’s stay comes as tariffs imposed under IEPPA are starting to be refunded. US Customs and Border Protection anticipates paying refunds of $35.46bn on 8.3 million shipments that have been processed as of Monday.

Ex-BLM activist turned conservative creator calls the movement a fraud

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A former Black Lives Matter activist pulled back the curtain on what he called the “fraud” and “indoctrination” of the radical left, explaining why he came to believe the movement he supported was a “scam.”

Xaviaer DuRousseau said he spent his youth supporting liberal causes, describing himself as the kid in college “spreading woke stuff on campus,” but that his awakening came during the 2020 George Floyd riots. He joined “The Riley Gaines Show” podcast to discuss the turning point that changed his mind.

“Socialism has literally never worked. BLM has always been a scam and the Democratic Party has always been the party of racism and violence,” DuRousseau said.

“I have just been drinking the Kool-Aid because this was the indoctrination that was put upon me from the age of a little child,” he added.

DuRousseau, who is now a conservative content creator and a personality for PragerU, explained his shift began while being cast for Netflix’s reality show “The Circle.” He started researching conservative arguments, initially wanting to debunk them, but realized he’d been blinded by his own confirmation bias.

He said when he tried to question things like the riots or whether the millions raised were actually going to the victims’ families, he was met with hostility.

“Whenever I called it out, I was told that I needed to stay in line or that I was losing the plot. And I just got sick of it,” DuRousseau said, adding that he realized how “performative” the activism was.

DuRousseau explained that while he outwardly supported these movements, he had long-standing reservations about their messaging. He noted he had family and friends who worked in law enforcement during the height of the anti-police movement.

“I thought it was weird that so many people were demonizing every single cop, and I thought it was insane to watch the looting and the rioting happening,” he said.

He also noted that the families of the victims of violence were not actually being helped by the organizations claiming to support them.

Breonna Taylor’s mother was even speaking out saying that her daughter’s name and death was exploited, and there [were] millions of dollars made off of her death,” he said. “Not a single dollar went to her, went to legal fees, or anything of that nature. So, I just started seeing the fraud pretty early on.”

Trump downplays US-Iran differences as he heads to Beijing to meet with Xi | Xi Jinping News

0

Donald Trump gives conflicting messages on prominence of Iran war in upcoming talks, with his administration emphasising trade.

United States President Donald Trump has departed the White House en route to Beijing, where he will meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

Trump spoke briefly with reporters on Tuesday as he boarded the Marine One helicopter. He was then set to arrive in China aboard Air Force One on Wednesday, ahead of the planned meetings on Thursday and Friday.

United States officials have taken pains in recent days to downplay how big a topic the US-Israel war on Iran will be during Trump’s visit.

Beijing has made its opposition to the war clear, at times asserting behind-the-scenes pressure on its trading partner Iran. However, it has largely avoided being pulled into the fray.

In recent days, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent have stepped up their calls for China to use its influence to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20 percent of the world’s oil supply flowed before the war began.

But Trump again gave conflicting messages on Tuesday about how much the war would feature in his meetings in China.

“We’re going to have a long talk about it. I think he’s been relatively good, to be honest with you,” Trump said of his plans to discuss the conflict – and how it has roiled global oil markets – with Xi.

Minutes later, he added, “We have a lot of things to discuss. I wouldn’t say Iran is one of them, to be honest with you, because we have Iran very much under control.”

“I don’t think we need any help with Iran. We’ll win it one way or the other, peacefully or otherwise,” he said.

Trade to loom large

The upcoming meetings will be the first face-to-face exchanges since the leaders of the world’s two largest economies met on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Busan, South Korea, in October 2025.

It is the second time Trump will travel to China as president, and the first time since his second term began on January 20, 2025. Xi is expected to travel to the US later this year.

Beyond the war, the US administration has stressed that trade will be a top subject discussed, with Trump seeking a series of business deals and agreements.

Underscoring that initiative, Trump invited an array of US business leaders to accompany him on the trip, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who had previously chaired Trump’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Both sides are expected to seek to avoid a return to the tariff war that defined Trump’s early days in office, which saw Trump set tariffs on Chinese goods at 145 percent, while China announced a further tightening of rare-earth export controls that would have hurt US industry.

The two sides reached a fragile truce in October of last year.

China’s continued support for Iran’s ballistic programme and its defence of Tehran’s nuclear programme has also risked again derailing relations.

Last month, Trump threatened to impose a 50 percent tariff on China after reports that Beijing was preparing to deliver a shipment of new air defence systems to Iran. He later backed away from the threat, claiming that he had received written assurance from Xi that he would not provide Tehran with weaponry.

Days later, Trump said that the US Navy had intercepted a Chinese vessel carrying a “gift” for Iran. Neither side offered further details of the incident.

Xi was also expected to push Trump on US arms sales to Taiwan, the self-governing island that China claims as its own.

Dem running on accountability tied to board settlements in child sex-abuse cases

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A California Democrat running for Congress in a newly redrawn Central Valley congressional district has campaigned on bringing transparency to his local school board — but during his tenure, the board he served on reportedly settled multiple sex-abuse cases behind closed doors.

Randy Villegas, running to represent California’s newly redrawn 22nd Congressional District in the U.S. House following passage of the state’s Proposition 50, is a college professor and most recently a school board member who ran on bringing transparency to the Visalia Unified School District (VUSD) in Central California.

Meanwhile, on the website set up for his congressional candidacy, Villegas says he is running to “bring accountable, people-first leadership to Washington.” But, during his tenure as a Visalia Unified School District school board member, the district settled five confidential sex-abuse cases totaling nearly $14.4 million that included provisions to hide information from the public, according to data and documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times.

In at least one of the settlements authorized unanimously by the board, Villegas was present, Fox News Digital could confirm. In that settlement agreement, Visalia Unified School District paid out $3 million following sexual assault allegations against a kindergarten teacher from six former students, and it contained explicit provisions to keep the public in the dark.

It marked the fifth “secret settlement” in three years at Visalia Unified School District, according to the LA Times, all of which came during Villegas’s tenure on the board that remains ongoing. Fox News Digital could not independently confirm if Villegas was present for the other four votes.

Fox News Digital reached out to Villegas’s campaign and Visalia Unified School District for comment, including questions about Villegas’s past transparency message, the board’s approval of confidential sex-abuse settlements and whether the public deserved more disclosure, but did not hear back in time for publication.

“California Democrats have turned this race into a nightmare for parents,” press secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), Christian Martinez, told Fox News Digital. “Socialist Randy Villegas quietly approved massive confidential settlements tied to the sexual abuse of children, while Progressive Jasmeet Bains is backed by activists who pushed to weaken sex offender laws and strip parents of their rights proving both are willing to sacrifice kids’ safety to protect their far-left allies and agenda.”

Visalia Unified School District board minutes from March 2025, reviewed by Fox News Digital, state Villegas was present when the board returned from closed session and unanimously approved a settlement agreement only identified as “existing litigation” titled “Tulare County Superior Court, Case No. VCU 294247.”

SEATTLE TIMES EDITORIAL BOARD WARNS WASHINGTON STATE PRIORITIZES ACCUSED TEACHERS OVER CHILD SAFETY

When Fox News Digital searched the case number on the Tulare County, California, Superior Court’s case search portal, there were six defendants matching the March 2025 settlement documents shared by the LA Times.

The case involved allegations of sexual abuse and assault from six former students against an adult male kindergarten teacher, with incidents occurring decades prior in both a classroom and the restroom, according to a 2022 complaint shared by the L.A. Times that detailed the six accusers’ allegations.

The teacher, between the years 1969 and 1971, allegedly “used his kindergarten classroom and position of trust and authority to egregiously assault the youngest and most tender of students,” the complaint says, alleging the teacher “upended the kindergarten classroom into his personal playing field where (the teacher) preyed on and repeatedly assaulted multiple female students.”

The resulting March 2025 confidential settlement agreement, approved by the board with Villegas present, included provisions where parties agreed to state only “the matter has been resolved” and promised to provide no “further elaboration, discussion, or disclosure” to third-parties about it.

The settlements were reached to resolve claims and did not constitute any admission of wrongdoing.

SON OF HOLLYWOOD DIRECTOR ACCUSED OF YEARS OF SEXUAL, RACIAL ABUSE OF WATER POLO TEAMMATE AT RITZY PREP SCHOOL

The settlement agreement also acknowledged that the district may be required to disclose settlement terms under the California Public Records Act, but barred former students involved in the settlement from “directly or indirectly” encouraging anyone to file a public-records request about the settlements, or making one themselves.

At least three of the other settlement agreements from Villegas’ tenure on the Visalia Unified School District board and shared by the LA Times, which spanned abuse dating back decades, included the same secrecy provisions, according to a review by Fox News Digital.

The fifth, an $8 million settlement approved during Villegas’s tenure, according to the LA Times’ reporting but unverified independently by Fox News Digital, included allegations from a former student who said, when they were 15, they were allegedly groomed and sexually assaulted by a school staff member in their mid-30s. The alleged abuse, according to a copy of the complaint shared by the LA Times, took place during the 2022–2023 school year.

The plaintiff accused Visalia Unified School District of negligent hiring, supervision and retention, in the complaint, alleging the district knew or should have known the defendant was unfit to work there.

The plaintiff’s attorney told news outlet ABC 30 that the defendant in the case had been released from the same school a decade earlier over serious misconduct before being brought back in 2022. That lawyer later represented another student with allegations against the same staff member, ABC30 reported, adding the defendant was facing 11 felony counts for misconduct during the 2022–2023 school year.

The settlement in that case was reached one month before a civil trial was expected to start, The Fresno Bee added in coverage from 2025.

Villegas, while running to retain his vacancy appointment to the school board in 2022, prior to any of the aforementioned settlements, bragged that during his temporary appointment he “pushed for transparency, supporting a policy to grant the public access to meeting recordings,” in a candidate profile for the Visalia Times Delta. In the bio on his congressional candidacy website, Villegas echoes a similar message.

“Randy’s running to fight for working families, protect our democracy, and bring accountable, people-first leadership to Washington,” Villegas’ website says. “He’s challenging Republican David Valadao, who has consistently sided with corporate interests over the needs of our communities.”

Villegas, who teaches political science at the College of the Sequoias since getting his doctorate from the University of California at Santa Cruz, is running in California’s June 2 top-two primary against incumbent Republican Rep. David Valadao and Democratic Assemblywoman Bains.

Fox News Digital reached out to campaigns for Valadao and Bains for comment, but did not hear back in time for publication.

Villegas’ campaign has drawn support from the progressive wing of the party, most notably Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who endorsed Villegas in November 2025, Dolores Huerta, the co-founder of the United Farm Workers alongside Cesar Chavez, and the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC, whose co-chairs, Reps. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and Maxwell Frost, D-Fla., praised Villegas as a candidate who would bring Central Valley voices to Congress. Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., also has endorsed Villegas, according to local California reporting.

The 22nd Congressional District was previously held by Republicans Devin Nunes and Connie Conway.

Neither the Grizzlies nor Clarke’s agency, Priority Sports, immediately released details surrounding his death.

Brandon Clarke, an athlete for the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the United States, has died at the age of 29, according to his team, the Memphis Grizzlies.

No cause of death was immediately announced. Local media reports indicate he was pronounced dead at a home in California’s San Fernando Valley after emergency workers responded to a call for help.

“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Brandon Clarke,” the Grizzlies said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Brandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization and the greater Memphis community will not be forgotten.”

Born in Vancouver, Canada, Clarke was selected as the 21st pick overall in the 2019 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, before his rights were traded to Memphis on draft night.

He spent his entire NBA career with the Grizzlies and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2020 after averaging 12.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in his debut season.

Injuries, including knee, calf and Achilles issues, limited his appearances in recent years. Clarke played just two games during the 2025-26 season.

“We are devastated to learn of the passing of Brandon Clarke,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement.

“As one of the longest-tenured members of the Grizzlies, Brandon was a beloved teammate and leader who played the game with enormous passion and grit. Our thoughts are with Brandon’s family, friends and the Grizzlies organization.”

The agency that represented him, Priority Sports, wrote in a statement that its members were “beyond devastated” by Clarke’s death.

“He was so loved by all of us here and everyone whose life he touched,” Priority Sports added. “He was the gentlest soul who was the first to be there for all of his friends and family.”

Clarke’s death comes shortly after he was arrested in Arkansas on April 1 on charges of speeding and possession of a controlled substance, reportedly identified as kratom, an herbal supplement legal in Tennessee. He was released on bond the following day.

He signed a multiyear contract extension with the Grizzlies in October 2022 after earning NBA All-Rookie honours alongside teammate Ja Morant in 2020.

Clarke suffered a torn left Achilles tendon in March 2023 during a loss to the Denver Nuggets, and injuries restricted him to 72 of a possible 246 games over the past three seasons.

The player averaged 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds over his seven seasons with the Grizzlies.

UVA students call tampon dispensers in men’s restrooms a waste of resources

Students at the University of Virginia (UVA) are raising concerns over why tampon dispensers are present in men’s restrooms on campus, with some calling the move “absurd” and a waste of resources.

The dispensers, which offer free tampons and pads, have appeared in campus buildings, according to students.

“Whenever the dispensers are in male restrooms, I just think it is a waste of university resources,” a student in the commerce school told Campus Reform in a May 4 article

“Instead of focusing on rising costs like tuition and food, the university is pursuing policy initiatives that don’t meaningfully help the student body,” the student added.

A public policy student in his fourth year at UVA said he noticed tampon dispensers in a men’s restroom in Old Cabell Hall, where the university’s Department of Music and the Music Library are located, which also happens to be the location of the school’s main lecture and concert hall, and said he “thought they were odd.”

A freshman told Campus Reform that having tampon dispensers in male restrooms on campus didn’t make sense, stating, “I think seeing these in a men’s restroom is weird, totally unnecessary, and absurd.”

A UVA sophomore told Campus Reform that the only place that tampon dispensers belong is in women’s restrooms.

“They shouldn’t be in the men’s bathroom because such a device is to be used by women — who already have their own, separate bathroom,” the student said.

Another student, in his third year at UVA, called the presence of tampon dispensers in the men’s bathrooms “insulting to God.”

“I’ve seen them. I find it both gross and insulting to God,” the student said. “Men will never be able to menstruate, and we need to stop playing pretend and get real. It is common sense to get rid of silly policies such as tampons in men’s restrooms. Overall, society should return to respecting and honoring the inherent biological differences between men and women.”

The “Free Period Products” page on UVA Health’s website says that the institution provides “complimentary period products to employees, recognizing that access to these products is integral to health and wellness.”

Recently, the Maryland House of Representatives considered legislation, the “Public Health – Public Buildings – Hygiene Products,” sponsored by more than 10 Democratic delegates, which would require “public restrooms in public buildings to provide an adequate supply of certain hygiene products; and generally relating to hygiene products in public buildings.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a university spokesperson said that “the University makes emergency feminine hygiene products available in academic buildings across our Grounds as part of a student-focused initiative to make them available for those who may need them. The overwhelming majority of these dispensers are in women’s restrooms in academic buildings.”

The spokesperson continued that UVA “installed dispensers in a handful of men’s restrooms located in buildings where gender-neutral restrooms are not available.”

The spokesperson added, “As a reminder, the University remains bound by Fourth Circuit precedent which requires that the University allow individuals to use restrooms which correspond to their gender identity consistent with the Equal Protection Clause and Title IX.  Grimm v. Gloucester County School Bd. (4th Cir. 2020).  In that respect, although the University’s current practice was not implemented for legal reasons, it does demonstrate compliance with principles established in Grimm for equal protection. To be clear, these dispensers are not present in all — or even most — men’s restrooms, and the ongoing costs associated with the program are minimal.”
