Skyhop Aviation’s seaplane was on its training flight at Dehradun Airport at around 4.30 pm on Saturday evening. As soon as the plane took off on the runway, sparks started coming out from the wheels. After which the pilot stopped the plane.

For security reasons, airport fire department personnel also reached the runway with the fire vehicle. After which, for security reasons, the aircraft was parked at a safe place near the hangar on the side of the runway. This is the first case when such problems have occurred in the wheels of a seaplane at Dehradun Airport.

Airport director Bhupesh CH Negi said the seaplane was on its training flight. Due to sparking from the wheel of the aircraft, the aircraft has been parked at a safe place on the runway for safety reasons.

Detroit Tigers top prospect Max Clark had a very honest reaction after seeing a 102.4 mph fastball on the first pitch of the game.

Clark was the leadoff batter for the Tigers in their 8-7 loss to the Pirates in their Spring Breakout game and was up against top prospect Seth Hernandez. Hernandez’s first pitch was a 102.4 mph fastball above the zone, and it got Clark’s attention.

“What the f—,” Clark could be seen saying after the pitch went by him.

Clark, 21, ended up walking in the at-bat. Hernandez ended up inducing an inning-ending ground ball double play to conclude his lone inning of the game.

The game between the Tigers and Pirates was part of MLB’s Spring Breakout, which is an annual four-day event with exhibition games between the top prospects from all of MLB’s teams during spring training.

Clark is the No. 2 overall prospect in the Tigers farm system, according to MLB.com. Last season at High-A and Double-A, Clark hit .271 with 14 home runs and 67 RBI, and could make his big league debut this season, where he will see a lot of high-octane heat like Hernandez’s.

Hernandez, 19, was drafted by the No. 6 overall pick by the Pirates in last year’s draft. Hernandez already has a legitimate four-pitch mix and will begin his season in rookie ball.

The Pirates organization hopes that Hernandez, alongside top pitching prospect Bubba Chandler, will slot in behind National League Cy Young winner Paul Skenes atop their rotation for years to come.

Cam Skattebo certainly has earned a reputation for being a hard-nosed running back, but now, it’s rather easy to see why.

The New York Giants running back became a rookie phenom last season, scoring seven touchdowns in as many games before a gruesome ankle injury cut his season short.

However, he quickly won the hearts of Giants fans with his Brandon Jacobs-like style, despite being several inches shorter, and his knack for the end zone.

Well, in a recent appearance on the “Bring The Juice” podcast, Skattebo probably hinted at why his running style is the way it is.

When asked straight up if CTE was “a real thing,” he bluntly responded, “No.”

“It’s an excuse,” Skattebo continued.

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a progressive, degenerative brain disease linked to repeated head impacts rather than a single injury, according to Mayo Clinic. More than 100 former NFL football players have been posthumously diagnosed with CTE, according to a University of Utah study, which was published in the Journal of Neurotrauma.

The host also remarked that he believed asthma is fake, to which Skattebo concurred.

“Yeah. Asthma’s fake… You’re just soft. Just breathe air.”

The comments echo those of Puka Nacua, who said concussions are “all in your ear” and “you just can’t think about it.”

Skattebo’s quarterback, Jaxson Dart, was checked for concussions at least five times throughout the season and even missed two games after being diagnosed with one. Skattebo was once fined for entering the medical tent while Dart was being evaluated.

In an interview with Fox News Digital last month, Skattebo said he was ready to move on to the next steps in his rehab.

“I feel good. Getting healthy, a couple months out, so I’m starting to put it in the past and get over the hard part and get back to work,” Skattebo said.

The number of meningitis cases following the outbreak in Kent has risen to 34, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has said.

The total has risen from 29 on Thursday. It includes two – a 21-year-old student at the University of Kent and a sixth form pupil at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Faversham – who died from the virus in Kent last weekend.

The local demand among university students for meningitis vaccines has been so high that some were turned away on Friday.

On Saturday, more than 500 people joined a queue this morning at a clinic on the University of Kent campus.

The UKHSA said that as of Saturday morning, 23 laboratory cases of meningitis were confirmed and 11 cases “remain under investigation”.

NHS Kent and Medway said that 7,060 vaccines had been administered, and 11,662 antibiotics had been handed out, as of 2.54pm on Saturday.

Dr Ben Rush, UKHSA consultant in Communicable Disease Control, said: “We continue to remain vigilant for new cases and work closely with NHS England and local authorities across the country to ensure enhanced surveillance is in place. Any new cases will be identified quickly and responded to.

“It’s reassuring to have seen so many eligible young people come forward for antibiotics and vaccination and we’d like to thank everyone involved in this effort so far.

“It’s vital that people are aware of the signs and symptoms of invasive meningococcal disease and seek immediate medical attention if they or anyone they know develops symptoms.

“The risk to the wider population remains low and UKHSA continues to work with partners to identify contacts and offer necessary treatment.”

Students queuing for jabs in Canterbury told the PA news agency that they had been waiting since 7am, and one said they had waited from around 5am.

Maria, who studies drama and theatre, said: “I think all of us are quite worried at the moment.”

She added: “It’s important to make sure we protect ourselves because obviously there’s been some deaths and people in hospital.”

People were seen more quickly than in previous days and the queue had dwindled to around 15 people by about 11am.

Kent County Council’s director of public health, Dr Anjan Ghosh, speculated on three “rough” scenarios over the next four weeks.

At a briefing on Friday, he said the “most likely” scenario would see people travelling off campus outside Kent and then spreading the bacteria to others within a household.

The alternative scenarios would see cases remaining contained in Kent or, in a “highly unlikely” worst-case, the outbreak could result in another cluster outside the county.

It comes as St John Rigby Sixth Form College in Wigan said it was notified by the UKHSA that a student there had recently been reported as a suspected meningococcal case.

The college said in a statement: “We would like to reassure you that we have acted quickly and there is only one suspected case at the college.

“Health agencies have completed contact tracing and there is no known connection to the situation in Kent.”

Fans got a glimpse of the new cast of “Baywatch” as filming begins on the reboot.

The cast of the highly anticipated reboot was spotted filming scenes for the show in Venice Beach, California.

Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, Stephen Amell, Livvy Dunne and others were photographed sporting the iconic red swimsuits as they strutted their stuff on the shore.

In the photos, the stars can be seen performing action sequences, with some snaps showing them running on the sand while carrying flotation devices with worried looks on their faces.

Mitchell and Nader also showed excitement about working on the series on their Instagram stories, with both posting photos from their first day on set. Mitchell posted photos of the red lifeguard trucks, as well as a slate with “Baywatch” written on it and a selfie of her in the red one-piece with the caption, “quick selfie before getting knocked by the waves.”

She also shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram with the caption, “Just keeping the grid strong before other shots humble me again” with a laughing emoji.

Nader shared two photos on her Instagram stories, including one of a lifeguard tower, with the caption, “office for the next few months,” as well as a photo of her outside her trailer, with the caption, “Selene’s 1st day.”

The reboot was announced in September 2025, with casting news coming out in February and March.

“You know, much like when I went on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ like, the unknown is really scary. I wasn’t a dancer. I’m not necessarily an actor, and so I think learning new things excites me and drives me,” Nader told Entertainment Tonight in March ahead of filming. “And I know I’m ready, and we start filming very soon. So I’m excited to step into this and maybe, hopefully, shock people with what I can do.”

The original show aired on TV for 220 episodes over the course of 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001. Many famous faces starred on the show, including Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, with later appearances from Jason Momoa, Donna D’Errico and Carmen Electra.

When speaking with People after Nader was announced as a member of the cast of the reboot, Electra said the 29-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model is “absolutely” a good fit for the show.

Nader announced she was part of the reboot earlier this month with a photo on her Instagram stories featuring her holding a script for the show, with the caption, “I’ve been keeping a secret….”

Former FBI director Robert Mueller, who investigated Trump’s campaign ties with Russia, has died at the age of 81.

His family said in a statement on Saturday: “With deep sadness, we are sharing the news that Bob passed away.”

Mr Mueller, who died on Friday, returned to public service as special counsel in the Trump-Russia inquiry.

Responding to news of his death on Truth Social, the US president wrote: “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

Mr Mueller transformed the nation’s law enforcement agency into a terrorism-fighting force, joining just one week before the September 11 attacks.

Nominated to the post by former Republican President George W Bush, he remained director for 12 years.

His time was defined by the 2001 terrorist attacks on the US and its aftermath. The FBI was granted broad new surveillance and national security powers as it became increasingly challenged by threats from al Qaeda and terror plots.

Mr Mueller held the job until 2013, becoming the second-longest-serving director in FBI history, behind only J Edgar Hoover.

Divisive Trump-Russia inquiry

His team spent nearly two years conducting one of the most consequential, yet divisive, investigations in the history of the US Justice Department.

Robert Mueller brought criminal charges against six of the president’s associates, including his campaign chairman and first national security adviser.

His 448-page report, released in April 2019, identified substantial contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia but did not allege a criminal conspiracy. He also laid out damaging details about Mr Trump’s efforts to seize control of the investigation, and even shut it down.

Mr Mueller pointedly noted: “If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment.”

Strategic change at FBI

During his tenure at the FBI, he had to construct a new model of policing.

“I had expected to focus on areas familiar to me as a prosecutor: drug cases, white-collar criminal cases and violent crime,” Mueller told a group of lawyers in October 2012, when he became FBI director.

Instead, “we had to focus on long-term, strategic change. We had to enhance our intelligence capabilities and upgrade our technology. We had to build upon strong partnerships and forge new friendships, both here at home and abroad.”

Among the challenges he faced were the revelations that the FBI circumvented the law to obtain thousands of phone call records for terrorism investigations.

The perfect March Madness bracket might still exist, but the chances have narrowed significantly after the first round of games wrapped up on Friday night.

According to the NCAA, the biggest bracket buster of the day was No. 7 seed Kentucky’s thrilling overtime victory over No. 10 seed Santa Clara. The Broncos looked primed to upset the Wildcats, but Otega Oweh’s 3-pointer in front of his own bench with just 2.4 seconds in regulation gave Kentucky the path to score eight consecutive points in overtime to move on to the second round. 

Roughly 6,000 brackets were dismantled by the final whistle. Another 3,200 were busted when Utah State pulled away from Villanova, 86-76.

Kalshi, a leader in prediction markets — in which users buy and trade shares based on potential event outcomes — is offering $1 billion to anyone who predicts all 63 tournament games correctly, with a “consolation” prize of $1 million to the person who finishes with the top-scoring bracket.

Hollywood is mourning the loss of Nicholas Brendon, best known for his role as Xander Harris on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” after his sudden death at age 54.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who famously portrayed Buffy Summers, posted an old photo alongside a heartfelt goodbye that referenced the show.

“‘They’ll never know how tough it is to be the one who isn’t chosen. To live so near to the spotlight, and never step in it. But I know. I see more than anybody realizes, because nobody’s watching me,'” she wrote, quoting Brendon’s character. She added, “I saw you Nicky. I know you are at peace, in that big rocking chair in the sky.” 

Alyson Hannigan, who portrayed Willow Rosenberg, also honored Brendon with a sweet tribute featuring an image from the series.

“I got to witness firsthand how beloved Nicholas Brendon is all over the world… We laughed, we sang, we gave good panel!!! Hearing of his passing today made me incredibly sad. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends…”

Brendon’s death was announced Friday, March 20, with his family confirming the news in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We are heartbroken to share the passing of our brother and son, Nicholas Brendon.”

“He passed in his sleep of natural causes,” the statement added. “Most people know Nicky for his work as an actor and for the characters he brought to life over the years. In recent years, Brendon candidly shared his health struggles through social media. In 2022, a post shared on his Instagram account informed fans he had been hospitalized following a cardiac incident and had been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.

He later revealed in a 2023 Instagram post that he had suffered a heart attack and undergone multiple spinal surgeries. Brendon had previously disclosed a diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome, a condition described by the Cleveland Clinic as the compression of nerve roots at the base of the spinal cord, which can affect movement and sensation in the lower body.

Senate Republicans blocked an attempt by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to only pay Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers as the Homeland Security shutdown drags on.

Despite being in the minority and not controlling the Senate floor, Schumer used an arcane tactic to force a procedural vote to allow the Senate to get onto the bill in Democrats’ move to shift the narrative of the ongoing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown.

“It is unacceptable for workers and travelers and entire airports to get taken hostage in political games,” Schumer said on the Senate floor. “But that’s what the Republicans are doing. It is unacceptable to say we will only pay TSA workers if it is attached to a bill that funds ICE with no reforms, but that’s what the Republicans have been doing.”

The shutdown entered its 36th day on Saturday as the ongoing partial closure hurtles toward matching the record-breaking full government shutdown from last year. Schumer’s failed gambit follows increasingly long wait times at airports as thousands of TSA agents go without pay.

Senate Democrats have dug in deep in their demands for stringent reforms to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and have so far refused to reopen the agency or temporarily extend funding to end the closure until they get what they want.

Senate Republicans and the White House made a new compromise offer to Democrats on Friday night after an open letter from the administration on several reforms to immigration operations was revealed earlier this week. The letter spurred two back-to-back meetings on Capitol Hill with Republicans, Democrats and administration officials.

Whether they accept that offer or counter remains in the air for now. Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., who was in the meeting, said that she hoped there would be another soon.

Still, Republicans tried and failed for a fifth time to fully reopen the agency on Friday. In the background, there have been several attempts by Senate Democrats to move forward with standalone funding bills — like Schumer’s gambit — to open parts of DHS, save for immigration enforcement.

Time is also running out for lawmakers to find middle ground on reopening the agency, given that they are set to leave Washington, D.C., for a two-week break at the end of next week.

At a press conference earlier Saturday, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., told Fox News Digital that it’d be “very, very hard to explain if we leave town this next week without having funded the Department of Homeland Security.”

“At some point the Democrats are going to be held accountable for this,” Thune said.

“I know they think it’s, as has been described by one of their leaders, ‘very serene, very serene’ with their position,” he continued. “Well, I’m telling you something, the people who are sitting in those lines at the airports right now don’t see it as very serene. This needs to be resolved.”
