LTM, Uniphore tie up to build domain-specific AI for banking, manufacturing and media sectors
LTM Limited, formerly LTIMindtree, and Uniphore, a business AI platform company, announced a strategic partnership on Tuesday to jointly develop industry-specific artificial intelligence solutions combining small language models, AI agents, and enterprise workflow tools.
Under the agreement, Uniphore’s Business AI Cloud will be integrated into LTM’s BlueVerse ecosystem. The partnership aims to build purpose-built, domain-specific small language models for core enterprise processes, with governance, security, and compliance embedded by design.
The two companies will initially target three sectors — banking, financial services and insurance, manufacturing, and media and entertainment. Specific use cases include financial planning and analysis, contract intelligence, outbound logistics, workforce transformation, and contact center operations. LTM will also deploy Uniphore’s platform internally as part of its own operational transformation.
The LTM stock traded at ₹4,250.50 on the NSE on Tuesday, up 1.14 per cent on the day, though the stock remains significantly off its 52-week high of ₹6,429.50 hit in January 2026 and has declined over 30 per cent year-to-date. The company’s total market capitalization stands at approximately ₹1.26 lakh crore.
Venu Lambu, CEO and Managing Director of LTM, said the partnership was aimed at moving AI from intent to execution across critical business domains, with a focus on scale, reliability, and client outcomes. Umesh Sachdev, CEO and Co-founder of Uniphore, said the combination of Uniphore’s platform and LTM’s delivery capabilities would convert enterprise data and intent into measurable business results.
LTM, a Larsen and Toubro Group company, employs over 87,000 people across 40 countries. Uniphore, headquartered in Palo Alto, counts over 2,000 businesses among its clients globally and has been recognized by Gartner, Forrester, and the Deloitte Fast 500. The two companies said they plan to expand the partnership to additional industries over time.

A coal mine explosion in Colombia’s Cundinamarca province killed nine workers and injured six, the National Mining Agency said, weeks after issuing risk-control recommendations for the site.
The blast on Monday at a legally operated mine in the Sutatausa municipality, 72km (45 miles) north of the capital Bogota, was caused by a buildup of gases, the agency said.

The governor had previously said 12 people were trapped and three had managed to escape.
Rescue workers were on their way to the site, he said, sharing images of ambulances at the mine’s entrance.
Authorities were assessing gas levels in the mine before conducting rescue operations, he added.
The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
“We deeply regret this tragedy and send a message of condolence, solidarity, and support to their families,” said Rey.
The mining agency had recommended that the mine strengthen its safety measures during a site visit on April 9, in which it had identified gases, including methane, that it said could become dangerous.
“As the ANM has warned during its inspection visits, coal deposits can present accumulations of gases such as methane, as well as concentrations of coal dust,” the agency said in a statement.
“The National Mining Agency expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims and regrets this mining accident in which, thanks to timely rescue efforts, six miners were rescued alive.”
Mining accidents in Colombia usually occur due to poor ventilation.
In the area where Monday’s incident took place, illegal mines that fail to meet safety standards are also in operation.

‘Out of fuel’ boards at pumps
Boards like Diesel not available and Petrol not available were put up at many petrol pumps. Only limited quantity of fuel was being given at some pumps. This increased the problems of the people, especially those traveling daily had to face problems.
Pump operators say that the supply to the district comes from the wholesale depot located in Solapur. There the tankers from Latur are standing in long queues to get petrol and diesel. It is also alleged that many tanker drivers are not being allowed entry into the depot, due to which the supply has slowed down further.
Panic buying increased
As soon as the news of fuel shortage spread, people started filling more petrol and diesel than required. Due to this the demand suddenly increased and the situation became worse. Many pumps were completely closed due to the stock being exhausted.
Acting District Collector Rahul Kumar Meena has adopted a strict stance on this matter. He has instructed pump operators not to stop sales under any circumstances if they have stock available.

The administration has made it clear that the pumps will remain open till the stipulated time and customers will not be refused fuel. A warning has also been given to take action against those imposing unnecessary restrictions.
