Mumbai Crime Branch has filed an application in the special NDPS court to take custody of Dola. According to the information, if permission is obtained from the court, the Crime Branch will take the custody of Salim Dola from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and will interrogate him further.
Apart from this, this step is being considered important for the investigating agencies, because many big revelations related to the underworld can be made through Dola. At present, all eyes are fixed on the court’s decision, which will decide the direction of this case.
Salim Dola is in NCB custody till May 8
According to the information, Mumbai Crime Branch will get the custody of Dola only after the NDPS Court gives permission on the application filed by the Crime Branch and NCB custody is given to her. At present Salim Dola is in NCB custody till 8th May. Where he is being interrogated in drug related matters. The crime branch has filed an application demanding the court to issue a production warrant. So that after the remand of NCB ends, Dola can be taken into their custody. Under the legal procedure, the crime branch has to first tell the court why the custody of the accused is necessary. If the court feels that investigation is necessary in other cases, then it issues a production warrant, after which the concerned agency can take the accused into its custody. The crime branch will first take custody of the Sangli drugs case, then the Mysore drugs case and then the Telangana drugs case and many other cases.
