
Patna’s special MP/MLA court will hear today the bail plea of independent MP from Purnia, Bihar, Pappu Yadav alias Rajesh Ranjan. Pappu Yadav was arrested on Friday (February 6) in a 31-year-old fraud case. He will be brought to the court from Beur jail under tight security. The hearing time in the court is from 11:15 am. There is a gathering of his supporters outside the court since morning. Everyone’s eyes are on whether he gets bail or not.
Purnia MP was to appear on Monday, but after the threat, he will appear in the court on Tuesday. Whereas he was shifted from Patna Medical College to jail. Doctors have declared him completely fit.
Hearing postponed due to threat
Hearing in Pappu Yadav case was to be held on Monday, but Patna Civil Court had received a bomb threat on mail. After which the entire premises was evacuated and searched, but nothing suspicious was found. Now the hearing will be held on Tuesday from 11:15 am. The court complex has been completely converted into a cantonment.
What is this 31 year old matter?
Let us tell you that MP Pappu Yadav has been arrested on 6 February in the 1995 case. In this case registered in Gardanibagh police station of Patna, he is accused of cheating, forgery, taking possession of house on rent, criminal intimidation and conspiracy. Complainant Vinod Bihari Lal had alleged that Pappu Yadav and his associates fraudulently rented and occupied his house.
Was not appearing in court for a long time
The court had issued arrest warrant and advertisement. Then no response was given from the accused. After this, the MP-MLA court of Patna had issued an order of attachment and confiscation against him. After appearing in the court on Saturday, he was taken into judicial custody and sent to PMCH for treatment.
