
The Central Government is going to propose in the special session of the Parliament to increase the number of existing 543 seats of the Lok Sabha to 850 and on this basis to give 33 percent reservation to women. According to the draft of the bill, in the new format 815 seats have been earmarked for states and 35 seats for union territories.
