And you know about Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, he is never afraid. Sources say that Mohsin Naqvi deliberately took the name of Army Chief Asim Munir so that the cricket issue becomes a message between the army and the government. Anyway, Mohsin Naqvi himself is the Interior Minister of Pakistan. Therefore his statement is only flattering to Asim Munir.

Why did Asim Munir’s name come up?
Pakistan’s Mohsin Naqvi did not take the name of Asim Munir just like that. He was seen trying to hide the pain caused by Operation Sindoor. India launched Operation Sindoor in May 2025. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India attacked terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. There was tension on both sides for four days. India gave many wounds to Pakistan. He decided to play the match with India. Mohsin Naqvi is showing his strength by taking the name of the biggest officer of the army. Many people are calling it flattery of the army.

Why Pakistan’s U-turn?
Pakistan Cricket Board had earlier talked about not playing the match in the name of standing with Bangladesh. Now when the ICC rubbed him, he understood his worth. ICC did not impose any penalty on Bangladesh, but by keeping it in its side, Pakistan was clean bowled. It was only on ICC’s request that the Chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board himself said to play the match with India. Cricket will benefit from this.
