Retired Justice Vinod Kumar Sinha of Patna High Court has served on many important judicial and administrative posts in Bihar. He was born on 23 April 1958. In 1983, he completed LLB from Patna Law College. After this he started practicing law from Patna High Court.

Became judge of Patna High Court in 2016

According to the information received, he also held the post of Registrar General in Patna High Court and Law Secretary of Bihar. In December 2016, he was appointed judge of Patna High Court and he retired from Patna High Court on 22 April 2020. Seeing the clean image of Vinod Kumar Sinha, the then Nitish government appointed him the Chairman of Bihar State Human Rights Commission in April 2020 after his retirement.

Vinod Kumar Sinha has practiced in various civil, service and criminal cases in Patna High Court. Joined Bihar Higher Judicial Service in 1997 as Additional District and Sessions Judge. During his judicial career in the Higher Judicial Service, he served as District Judge of Samastipur Judiciary and Legal Advisor to the Government of Bihar.

Before promotion, he was working as Registrar General of Patna High Court since 2014. He was elevated as Additional Judge of Patna High Court on 9 December 2016. Vinod Kumar Sinha is a resident of Patna. His house is in Road No. 3 of Rajendra Nagar.
