On one hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is about to go to Rajya Sabha, on the other hand, the confidence of MLA IP Gupta, who is part of the Grand Alliance, seems to be increasing on BJP. During a program organized in Saharsa last Wednesday (March 18, 2026), he made such a statement that it gave many indications.
On Wednesday, a felicitation ceremony was organized by the workers of Grand Alliance in Saharsa. MLA IP Gupta had attended this. RJD District President Mohammad Tahir, RJD leader Ranjit Yadav, Dhanik Lal and many workers of Grand Alliance were present in the felicitation ceremony.
‘BJP will work for at least one year’
While addressing the program on this occasion, IP Gupta gave a big statement. He said, “BJP government is coming in Bihar, all the officers who have been doing business for 20 years are preparing to run away to Delhi due to fear of BJP. Whoever becomes the Chief Minister of BJP knows all the thieves and officers sitting there. Action will be taken against all. I am confident that BJP will work for at least one year.”
‘The door will have to be kept open for IP Gupta’
He further said, “Whether BJP becomes the Chief Minister (in Bihar) or JDU, the door will have to be kept open for IP Gupta. Whoever becomes the Chief Minister, he will have to do the work of Saharsa… Saharsa has that officer, if he thinks that his man is in contact with the Chief Minister or Nalanda is the house… Everyone pack their bags and beds. Now the trumpet is about to sound. Your entire file is about to be opened in the Assembly… So brother, improve yourself…”
Let us tell you that IP Gupta had prepared vigorously before the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. There was a massive rally at Gandhi Maidan. After this he joined the Grand Alliance. Contested elections and won. Now from his statement it seems that he might join NDA.
