Repolling in West Bengal: Voting will be held again at 15 polling stations under the assembly elections in West Bengal. According to the Election Commission, re-polling will be held here on May 2. All these polling stations fall in South 24 Parganas district, where the Commission has taken this decision in view of the possibility of irregularities. Read the full report

Expansion

The Election Commission of India has ordered re-polling at 15 polling stations in Diamond Harbor and Magra Hat West areas of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. As per the instructions of the Commission, re-polling will be conducted at all these centers on May 2. Voting will take place from 7 am. These 15 polling stations include four in Diamond Harbor and 11 in Magrahat West, where voting will be held again on Saturday. The Commission has taken this decision on the basis of complaints and reports of irregularities received during voting. Booths where suspicion of foul play was raised.
