Another major development came to light on Friday in the ongoing conflict between America and Iran. According to the information, an American A-10 Warthog fighter jet crashed near the Strait of Hormuz. This incident occurred at the same time when earlier news of American F-15E Strike Eagle jet being shot down over Iran was reported. According to reports, there was only one pilot in the A-10 jet, who has been rescued safely. There were two people aboard the F-15E jet, a pilot and a weapons system officer. After the fall of this plane, both of them had ejected, one of whom has been rescued by the US Army, but the search for the other member is still going on.
Pentagon admitted – one plane was shot down
The US Defense Department (Pentagon) has also admitted that one of its aircraft has been shot down in West Asia, although it did not share much information. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said that President Donald Trump has been informed about the incident. Meanwhile, Iran has claimed that it not only shot down the F-15E jet but also targeted the American rescue mission. According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, the American UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was shot down in Iraqi airspace. However, America has not yet confirmed this claim.
America starts search for missing soldiers
According to Iranian media, the US had deployed several helicopters and large aircraft like C-130 Hercules to search for its missing soldier, but some aircraft had to retreat due to Iran’s air defense firing. Making the situation more serious, Iran has appealed to its citizens to inform or capture and hand over any American pilot if they see them. It has also come to light in some reports that people were instigated to take action against the enemy pilot and were asked to give a reward in return.
Awaiting response from US Central Command, White House
Apart from this, Iranian media has also claimed that they have also shot down another American F-35 fighter jet, but there has been no confirmation on this from the US.
