West Asia: America’s counterattack on Iran, air strikes on missile and drone storage sites – Us Central Command Iran Airstrikes Missile Drone Storage Sites Hormuz Strait

The US Army’s Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had attacked Iran’s missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar sites. This action was taken when Iran targeted a commercial ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

What did Centcom say on social media?

Centcom said in a post on social media platform X that US aircraft targeted Iran’s missile and drone storage sites and coastal radar sites. This action took place when on June 25, Iran unilaterally attacked the ship named M/V Ever Lovely with a drone attack.

The US military said Iran’s “unwarranted aggression” against commercial shipping is a clear violation of the ceasefire. He further said that this dangerous behavior by Iran undermines the freedom of navigation, while trade continues to grow through this important international waterway.

‘US military providing assistance to ships passing through Hormuz’

CENTCOM also reported that its forces are providing assistance and coordination to ensure safe passage of commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The US Army is constantly present and alert in the region, so that all the rules of the agreement with Iran are followed and peace is maintained in the region.
