The weather in Delhi-NCR is going to take a turn once again. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of rain and thunderstorm for May 3 and 4. Due to this, the maximum temperature is likely to remain below 40 degrees Celsius for the coming week, while the minimum temperature will remain between 20 to 24 degrees. With this, May will start with pleasant weather and will provide relief from the scorching heat.

On Friday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius, 2.9 degrees below normal, and the minimum temperature was 22.8 degrees Celsius. Hide and seek continued throughout the day amidst clouds and sunshine, while strong winds also reduced the effect of the heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on May 2 can be between 38-40 degrees. It is likely to be 36-38 degrees on May 3 and 35-37 degrees on May 4. After this, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 20-23 degrees on May 5 and 6.

The good rains in April have broken the record of the last 16 years, due to which this time the effect of heat is being seen less. Meteorologists say that people will get more relief after the rain and strong winds of May 3-4. Due to cool winds and clouds in May, the effect of heat will be less felt.
