
Due to western disturbance in Rajasthan the weather has changed rapidly. Due to which rain and hail have fallen in many cities of the state including the capital Jaipur. Considering the weather conditions, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in 13 districts. Heavy hailstorm can damage crops. According to estimates, similar weather conditions will prevail for the next two days. However, there is no news of any damage from anywhere.
Most of the cities of the state have been cloudy since Wednesday morning. There is also a possibility of storm and rain. A drop in temperature is being seen in Bikaner due to heavy rain last night. A lot of hail has also fallen here. At present, an alert has been issued in all the districts and people have been appealed to be cautious.
Gram sized hail fell in Bikaner
The weather in Bikaner suddenly took a turn since night and it started raining heavily with strong wind. During this morning, hailstones the size of gram kept falling. This sudden rain brought relief to the city residents who were facing drought-like conditions for a long time and many people were seen coming out of their homes and enjoying the weather. A drop in temperature was recorded due to rain and hailstorm. However, there is a possibility of minor crop damage due to hail in some rural areas.
Alert issued in these districts
Season The department has issued an alert in the state. There is orange alert in 13 districts, including Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, Dausa, Tonk, Ajmer. Bhilwara, Bundi and Kota are included. Apart from this, yellow alert has been issued in Bikaner, Churu, Nagaur, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bharatpur, Udaipur.
Due to rain and hail, the temperature of the state can come down by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. Losses to farmers may increase especially due to heavy hailstorm.
