We need a commitment from Iran not to acquire nuclear weapons: Vance

Vance said, ‘The simple fact is that we need a clear commitment that Iran will not seek to acquire a nuclear weapon nor will it seek the means by which it could quickly produce a nuclear weapon. This is the main goal of the President of America. This is what we are trying to achieve through these talks.

The US Vice President said, their nuclear program as it is and the enrichment facilities that were there earlier, have been destroyed. But the real question is, do we see a fundamental willingness and commitment from Iran not to develop nuclear weapons not just now or in a year or two, but for a long time? We haven’t seen this yet. But we are hopeful that we will see it.
