Before the assembly elections, SP has decided to focus on small parties. Party officials have been given the target of including the leaders of these parties district wise. The state SP headquarters itself is monitoring this work. The effort of the party leadership behind this is to increase the support base.
According to SP sources, the party has prepared a list of small parties which have influence only in one or two districts. But, their role can be important in seats which are won or lost by small margins. A strategy has been made to bring these parties together.
SP is in constant contact with parties and social organizations like Apni Zindagi-Apna Dal, Rashtra Uday Party, Bharatiya Manav Samaj Party, Backward Dalit Vikas Mahasangh, Gandhian People’s Party, Rashtriya Bhagidari Party, Ati Pichda Samaj Mahasabha etc. active in different districts of UP.
