A family dispute took a bloody turn at around 1:30 am on Sunday midnight in Bahraich, UP. In a dispute that started over a property issue, the son attacked with an axe, killing his parents, grandmother and sister. When the elder brother arrived after hearing the screams and protested, he too was attacked by the younger brother. He also got injured due to this. The attacker’s brother was also injured in the conflict.
The incident took place in Ramnagar village of Rupaidiha police station area. On information from the villagers, outpost in-charge Babaganj Shivesh Kumar Shukla and the team of 112 police immediately reached the spot. The police sent everyone by ambulance to the Community Health Centre, Charada. There the doctors confirmed the death of grandmother Shitala Devi (82), father Badluram (62), mother Sanju Devi (60) and sister Parvati (35).
Gurudev (33) and Nirankar (27), who were seriously injured in the attack, were referred to the district hospital after first aid. Seeing the critical condition of Nirankar, he has been referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre.
The matter is related to a family dispute
In the early morning, police station in-charge RS Rawat, area officer Pahup Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Durga Prasad Tripathi and Superintendent of Police Ram Nayan Singh reached the spot. He inspected the incident site and gathered information. The Superintendent of Police said that prima facie the matter appears to be related to a family dispute. However, every aspect is being investigated.
At the same time, the forensic team has collected evidence from the spot. Traces of blood and broken objects were found scattered inside the house. The ax used in the incident has been recovered from outside the house. As a precautionary measure, additional police forces and PAC personnel have been deployed.
