
Twisha’s mother-in-law, retired Principal District and Sessions Judge and former District Consumer Commission Chairman Giribala Singh and her son advocate Samarth Singh, lodged in the Central Jail on charges of dowry death in the famous Twisha Sharma suspicious death case of the capital Bhopal, spent their first night in the jail like ordinary undertrials. Both were provided normal facilities under jail rules and no special arrangements were made.
On Tuesday evening, CBI took the mother and son to the Central Jail amid tight security. The jail administration has allotted undertrial number 71 to Giribala Singh and kept him in A-section of the women’s ward. Due to security reasons, special surveillance is being kept on them. Whereas Samarth Singh has been given undertrial number 1782 and has been kept in the male medical ward.

According to jail sources, after admission, both of them were given curry with pakodas, roti and vegetables for dinner. The jail administration provided him plate, bowl and glass as per rules. On Wednesday morning, salty porridge was served for breakfast along with tea. Bitter gourd vegetable, gram dal, roti and rice were given in lunch. According to jail officials, at present both have not been sent to any special ward and they are living under normal procedure like other undertrial prisoners.

Monitoring will be done through digital system
The jail administration records the count and attendance of prisoners every day. The complete records of prisoners are kept digitally safe through the e-present system implemented in the jails of the state. This includes medical records, sections of crime, judicial status and other information related to jail. Soon the records of Giribala and Samarth will also be updated in this system. If an undertrial demands any facility under the rules and gets approval, his mention is also recorded in the digital record.
CBI investigation continues, Samarth seen reading novel in jail
CBI is investigating various aspects in the case of suspicious death of Tvisha Sharma. The agency is busy connecting the links of the case based on the evidence collected so far, digital evidence and statements of witnesses. Meanwhile, Samarth Singh was lodged in jail on Wednesday. ‘The Pregnant King’ Seen reading a novel.
