Tragic accident in Meerut, 12 year old child dies due to drowning in illegal swimming pool, operator in custody

In a tragic accident on Sunday in Lisadi Gate police station area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, 12-year-old teenager Akil died due to drowning in the swimming pool. The incident took place at a private swimming pool located near Pillokhari bridge, which was allegedly being operated illegally. After the incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying. At present, the police have started investigation on the complaint of family members.

This incident has also raised questions on the local administration. After all, how was the swimming pool running without standards? The answer to this has not been received yet. According to police officials, action will be taken after investigation. Currently, due to negligence an innocent person has lost his life.

What is the whole incident?

According to the information, Akil, son of Yusuf alias Lal, resident of Tarapuri saw machine street, left the house without informing on Sunday evening and reached the nearby swimming pool. During this time he fell into the pool and died due to drowning. When he did not come out of the water for a long time, pool operator Wasim went inside and looked, where the child was found drowned in water. This created chaos on the spot.

Akil was immediately taken to Max Hospital on Hapur Road, where doctors declared him dead. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The pool operator is being detained and interrogated. Police are also investigating whether safety standards were being followed in the pool or not. It has been told that Akil was mentally handicapped. His death has created chaos in the family. The family members have demanded strict action.
