
The police administration has geared up to ensure peaceful completion of Holi and Ramzan festivals in Bihar. All kinds of precautionary measures have been taken to deal with anti-social elements. Police is in alert mode regarding both the festivals. Strict security arrangements have been made to maintain peace across the state.
Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar said that the police has already started action against anti-social elements creating disturbance during festivals due to the parallelism of Holi and Ramzan. He said that till now bond papers have been filled by about 13,000 anti-social elements and this work is still going on.
He told that the police is keeping a close watch on the miscreants. Special forces have been deployed in riot-prone and riot-prone areas to prevent any untoward incident.
30 thousand additional soldiers deployed
All necessary instructions have been given to all the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police. 30,000 additional police personnel have been deputed in various sensitive districts across the state. All anti-riot equipment has been made available. Along with the local police, teams of Special Branch and Rapid Action Force will also be ready.
Appeal for peace and order in all districts
Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, while emphasizing the need for public participation in maintaining peace, has made a special appeal to the head, sarpanch and ward members that if any kind of suspicious activity or tense situation is seen in rural areas, then they should immediately inform the local police station.
He said that those trying to spoil the atmosphere will not be spared. To deal with emergency situations, orders have been given to keep ‘Dial 112’ and district coordination centers fully active. Besides, hospitals and fire brigades were also instructed to remain in ‘active mode’ to deal with any untoward incident.
