Surya Kant on Monday announced two major initiatives towards making the country’s judicial system digital and technology based. Before the start of the day’s proceedings in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice informed that the judiciary is starting a new digital initiative called One Case One Data. Along with this, an Artificial Intelligence based chatbot named Su Sahayta has also been launched on the website of the Supreme Court.
The CJI said that under the One Case One Data initiative, multi-level information of all High Courts, District Courts and Taluka Courts across the country will be linked to a unified digital platform. In this system, information from different courts related to a case will be available at one place, which will make case tracking and management more effective.
He said that the judiciary is working towards a modern case management system that will establish better coordination among the courts and make the hearing process of cases more systematic. The initiative aims to integrate judicial data, digitally link case records and ease monitoring of cases pending in courts.
