The government has prepared a strict action plan to make the Chardham Yatra safe and easy. The journey will be made hi-tech with CCTV and AI based surveillance. This time the Green and Clean Yatra will be made more comprehensive. At the same time, strict action will be taken by registering an FIR against those spreading rumors during the yatra.
In the high level review meeting regarding the preparations for Chardham Yatra, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officers to make better arrangements at the Secretariat. Said that the safety and convenience of every devotee coming on Chardham Yatra from all over the world is our personal responsibility. Travel is the lifeline of the state, which should be organized, safe, clean and technologically empowered. Said that in travel, especially in heli services, human sensitivity should be given top priority rather than commercial approach.
The campaign of Green and Clean Chardham Yatra, which was started last year on the initiative of the Chief Minister, will be implemented in a more effective manner this time. For this, the CM directed to install adequate number of collection boxes on the travel routes and strictly control the use of plastic to ensure plastic-free travel. He warned that if anyone tries to mislead or spread rumors regarding the Yatra, a case will be registered against him and strict action will be taken.
Apart from this, the Yatra will be given the form of a mass movement by ensuring active participation of local bodies, voluntary organizations and youth. Cabinet Minister Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj (through virtual medium), Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Director General of Police Deepam Seth, senior administrative officers and DMs of the districts related to the yatra were present in the meeting.
