
Jammu and Kashmir Police took major action on Tuesday and arrested two over ground workers (OGWs). Both the accused were associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Arms, ammunition and threatening posters of Lashkar have been recovered from them.
An official said that the police were doing routine checking of vehicles by setting up a naka in Baba Dame area of Srinagar. During this, two people coming on a motorcycle were stopped. Seeing their suspicious activities a search was conducted. Police recovered a pistol, three magazines, 21 cartridges, two mobile phones and 10 threatening posters of Lashkar from them. Both the accused were arrested on the spot.
The official said that the accused are Faisal Ahmed Bhat resident of Malpora Habbakadal and Faisal Ahmed Guru resident of Rajori Kadal. An FIR has been registered against them under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Arms Act.

The officer said that preliminary interrogation revealed that both were working for Lashkar terrorists in the area. A thorough investigation is being conducted in the matter. The officer said that the network of terrorists is being attacked continuously. The police is working on a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and is firm on the mission. Action against terrorists and their helpers will continue.
16 terrorist helpers caught in Kashmir in 25 days
Security forces have arrested about 14 terrorist facilitators in Kashmir in 25 days. On April 18, four helpers were arrested in Hawal area with ammunition and threatening posters of Lashkar. After this, four terrorist helpers including a woman were caught in Srinagar on the night of 23 April, five on 26 April and one terrorist helper on 2 May. Now two more OGWs have been caught on Tuesday.
