According to the Pakistani Army, the posts that were targeted were located in Kila Saifullah Sector, Nuski Sector and Gudwana Sector. The army has said that all these targets have been successfully destroyed. At present, there has been no official response from Afghanistan on this claim.

United Nations chief expressed concern

Earlier, the UN chief has expressed deep concern about the increasing violence between Afghanistan and Pakistan. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has appealed to both the countries to immediately stop the conflict and resolve differences through dialogue. UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said in the daily press conference on Friday that the Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the increasing violence between Afghanistan and Pakistan and its impact on ordinary people. He demanded an immediate ceasefire and said that both sides should resolve their differences through diplomacy and dialogue.

Dujarric also said that UN humanitarian officials are expressing concern about the impact of the attacks in Afghanistan. There is particular concern about the alleged attack on a transit and reception center located at the Torkham border crossing in eastern Afghanistan. He said that we appeal to all parties to follow international humanitarian law. Especially ensure that common citizens and civil infrastructure remain safe at all costs.

Taliban said ready for talks with PAK

Meanwhile, Taliban in Afghanistan has said that it is ready for talks with Pakistan. This statement has come at a time when Pakistan has carried out air strikes on many big cities. According to Al Jazeera’s report, Islamabad’s Defense Minister has said that both the countries are now in a state of open war. For the last few months, tension between the two countries was increasing and there were retaliatory attacks on each other.

Afghan Taliban suffered huge losses

It is being told that the Afghan Taliban has suffered heavy losses, in which 331 people have been killed and more than 500 have been injured. Apart from this, 104 check posts were destroyed, while 22 posts were captured. 163 tanks and armed vehicles were also destroyed. Also, 37 different places in Afghanistan were effectively targeted through air strikes.
