Satpal alias Sattu, originally a resident of Pachanda village of Muzaffarnagar and Ram Darbar of Chandigarh, viciously kidnapped and sexually assaulted several teenage girls. He used to describe himself as a soldier among the families who wanted a job. He would kidnap teenage girls on the pretext of getting them a job.
Many cases were reported in Western Uttar Pradesh alone. Many families did not reach out to the police after the girl was found. On June 19, a girl from Titavi area was kidnapped from the court. Superintendent of Police City Amrit Jain said that Satpal would be around fifty years old. He used to go to railway stations, roadways bus stands and other such places and talk to girls and trap them.
