
Maharashtra News: The incident of molestation of a girl in Badlapur, Maharashtra had become a topic of discussion in the state, after which a wave of anger ran among the people. Despite this, incidents of molestation of minor girls are still coming to light. The latest case has come to light from Badlapur, here a 10 year old minor girl going for tuition was molested by a rickshaw driver by holding her hand. In this case, the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested the accused.
According to the information, despite the girl’s protest, the rickshaw driver was not leaving her hand. Finally, showing wisdom, her friend who was with her threw mud in the rickshaw driver’s eyes to get rid of him and ran away from there. This incident is from Badlapur East area. The family members were informed about the incident, after which a complaint was lodged with the police.
The accused was sent to judicial custody
Taking the matter seriously, the police scanned the CCTV footage of the area and within a few hours arrested the accused from Ambernath. A case has been registered against the accused under POCSO Act at Badlapur East Police Station. The accused has been sent to judicial custody. Police Inspector Rajesh Gajjal said that under the guidance of senior officers, action is being taken with sensitivity in crimes related to children.
5 year old girl molested in Malad too
Meanwhile, a very serious case has also come to light from Malad area of Mumbai. Here a school peon has been accused of molesting a five year old girl. It was told that the accused did this by threatening to kill the girl. When the victim’s parents complained to the school administration, they were not given any information about the accused.
Case registered against peon and CEO under POCSO Act
It is alleged that in order to avoid defamation of the school, the CEO of the school threatened the girl’s parents not to bring the matter out. After this the family members lodged a complaint with the police. Malad police have registered a case against school peon Anil Panchal, 30, and school CEO Anant Yagnik, 65, under sections 10, 17 and 21(2) of the POCSO Act along with sections of the Indian Judicial Code 2023. The police is investigating the matter.
