A 12 year old girl has died due to this disease. According to family members, the girl was treated, but her condition did not improve and she died during treatment.

About a dozen children in the village are said to be suffering from jaundice. Health department teams have taken samples of all the sick children. In the preliminary investigation, the main cause of the disease is believed to be contaminated drinking water. He said that health department teams are continuously deployed in the village and water tanks and water supply are being checked. If needed, more samples will also be taken.

Villagers say that there was problem of drinking water for a long time. Due to drinking contaminated water, children were suffering from complaints like fever, stomach ache, headache and eye pain. Health department teams are going door-to-door to check people and essential medicines are also being distributed.
