UK weather: Temperatures could soar to 21C as sunshine arrives | UK News

0

Temperatures could climb as high as 21C in parts of Britain on Wednesday, as south-easterly winds bring warmer conditions to England and Wales.

Forecasters are predicting warm and sunny conditions for the south of the country on Wednesday and Thursday, with a front lying across the UK bringing rain and cloud to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Met Office said it would drag in warm air from the south and south-easterly direction, which will cause temperatures to rise “markedly” on Wednesday, with highs of 22C not to be “ruled out”.

The temperatures, which are higher than typical temperatures for March, could make Wednesday the warmest day of the year so far.

Sky News weather presenter Jo Wheeler said the weather system would see the UK’s west experience the highest temperatures, with plenty of sunshine in store for the rest of the week.

“High pressure developing to the east of the country accounts for the soaring temperatures this week,” she said.

“Drawing a warm south-easterly wind, sheltered parts of the west could see daytime highs of 20 or 21C today, that’s 70 Fahrenheit; significantly higher than expected at this time of year.

“There’s plenty of sunshine in the forecast for the rest of the week, although temperatures will drop off by a few degrees, whilst remaining above average.”

Ms Wheeler said temperatures would cool in the south later in the week, with the north seeing more wintry conditions and showers.

“Despite the warm days, the nights will be chilly with frost and fog likely in places,” she said.

“As we pick up a greater easterly component, cloud chasing will become a larger part of the forecast.

“For today, it’s southern Scotland and north-eastern England that will remain rather dull and cool with some patchy drizzle, but eastern coasts will be more vulnerable to coastal cloud in the coming days.

“A rain belt moving through on Sunday and Monday is likely to return wintry showers to the north.”

Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said the highest temperatures on Wednesday would be seen in western Wales and north Devon.

“The best of the sunshine, almost wall-to-wall blue skies, will be across the bulk of England and Wales, and with that sunshine and that warm air … temperatures are going to rise,” he said.

“We’re going to see them getting into the high teen Celsius, and because of the wind direction, towards northern and western parts of Wales, north Devon, we’re looking at 20, 21 Celsius, 22 can’t be ruled out.”

Meanwhile, Scotland will see cooler temperatures on Wednesday, ranging between 11 (52F) and 13C (55F) and Northern Ireland will see highs of 10C (50F) to 11C (52F).

After a chilly start on Thursday, much of the UK will have a warm and sunny day with light winds, with cloud over Scotland and northern England, the Met Office said.

Conditions will remain largely dry with some sunny spells on Friday and heading into the weekend, with some rain in Scotland on Saturday and Sunday.

More unsettled conditions will return late on Sunday and into next week, when an Atlantic frontal zone will arrive in the UK.

Jay Bilas says NIL hasn’t ruined March Madness despite growing criticism

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

When all four No. 1 seeds made the Final Four last year, bracket-makers and college basketball aficionados alike declared March Madness dead thanks to NIL.

But one expert analysis, Jay Bilas, is not buying that notion.

“I’m not sure there’s enough data, because we live in a world where one data point automatically makes a trend,” the former Duke star turned ESPN analyst said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.

“And I’ll give you an example. A few years ago, we had San Diego State and Florida Atlantic make the Final Four, and San Diego State made the championship game. And the narrative was, ‘The world is flat, NIL has made everyone equal. Anybody can win. There’s complete parity across college sports now.’ And a couple years later, we get all four No. 1 seeds making it, and the narrative was, ‘Cinderella is dead. Only the big shots can win. The sport is ruined…’

“Each of these tournaments is different. And again, one data point doesn’t make a trend. This is a rearview mirror sport. People complain about it afterwards. They like it when it’s going on, but they complain about it afterwards.”

Bilas also pointed out that all four No. 1 seeds made the Final Four in 2008, nearly 13 years before NIL even existed.

So while some may think NIL has ruined the tournament, Bilas believes that could not be further from the truth, and he will be enjoying it with some ice-cold Garage Beer, founded by Travis and Jason Kelce.

“I like beer, and I like garages,” Bilas joked, adding that the Kelce brothers are a key reason why he wanted to be a spokesperson for the beverage this March Madness. “I probably shouldn’t be talking about how much I like beer, but I like beer and I like Garage Beer. And there’s nothing better than tournament time, and those two things go together really well. I try to avoid it when I’m on the air, but I’m just like everybody else — when there’s a good game on, I like to crack one open.”

TWO-TIME NCAA CHAMPION JALEN BRUNSON REVEALS WHAT IT TAKES TO BE GREAT IN MARCH MADNESS

Bilas also called out hypocrisy among talking heads and fans about loyalty being far gone as the transfer portal has become more popular than ever.

“When you couldn’t leave, was that called loyalty or was there just no choice? And I like living in a world where a player is under-recruited out of high school has to go somewhere that they didn’t aspire to, and they show that they’re way better than that. Are they required to stay there for their entire college experience when they can jump up onto the biggest stage and show what they can do? And everybody knows who they are,” Bilas said.

“I mean, coaches do it when a team at a smaller school does really well, the coach comes up to the bigger school, but the players can’t. I mean, I like it that they’re allowed to do that. And if we want them to stay, then sign them to a long-term contract, where it’s the player’s choice and the school’s choice that they stay.”

Bilas accurately picked the Final Four last year, but he expects some parity this year in what may be one of the most memorable tourneys.

“People are saying, you have some people even in my business that are saying the sport is broken, but on the court, it’s never been better,” Bilas said. “The players are better than they’ve ever been. The game is older now than it was five, six years ago, I think I think it’s a fabulous product and I do think it’s better than it’s ever been.”

IRGC-Basij Force has become a bloodbath for Iran! New fighters are being prepared after every death

0

There is mention of a character in our mythological stories, whose name is Raktabeej. It means that Asura or demon, if even a drop of blood from his body falls on the ground, then a new Raktabeej will be created from that blood, which will be as powerful as the old Raktabeej and now the new Raktabeej will fight the battle. In the ongoing war with America, Iran has also prepared similar blood seeds, due to which even though America and Israel are killing all the big leaders and military officers of Iran one by one, yet new leadership is being born in Iran. This new leadership that is emerging is becoming ready to carry out even more deadly attacks than before.

IRGC has become a bloodbath for Iran

According to Markandeya Purana, there were two demons named Shumbha and Nishumbha on this earth. The name of their commander was Raktabeej, who had a boon from Lord Shiva that if he was attacked in battle and even a single drop of his blood fell on the ground, a new Raktabeej would be created. When Goddess Durga started the fight to kill Shumbha and Nishumbha, there was a fight with Raktabeej also. When Raktabeej was attacked, his blood started falling on the earth, due to which not one but thousands of Raktabeej were born. The fight went on endlessly and then Goddess Durga took the form of Kali, who had a mortar in one hand.

After the attack on Raktabeej, even before the drops of his blood fell on the earth, Goddess Kali would collect that blood in her pot and drink it. The result was that all the Raktabeej were killed one by one and then Shumbha-Nishumbha were also killed. After reciting Durga Saptashati, you must have sung in the Aarti that

Remove the glans,
Shredded seeds are green.
Madhu-Kaitabh killed two,
Make the tone fearless.
Om Jai Ambe Gauri..॥

Iran is carrying out more deadly attacks on America and Israel

The word Shonit Beej in this has been used for Raktabeej only. Now Raktabeej was a demon so it was necessary for him to die, but those who are being killed in Iran are human beings. People living in flesh and blood, who are being killed just because America and Israel feel that the war started by them will end only with their death, but the war does not seem to be ending. With the beginning of this war, America and Israel first killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, then he was replaced by Mojtaba Khamenei, who turned out to be even deadlier than his father Ali Khamenei.

In the same attack, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Abdul Rahim Mousavi was killed, then the Caretaker Council took command of the army, which is still fighting the war. When Mohammed Pakpur, the commander of the ‘Ground Force’ of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps i.e. IRGC, was killed by America, a new commander came. Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh was killed and his place was taken by Syed Majid Ibn Al Raza, who himself stood firm in the battlefield.

Death of Iran’s top leadership

America has also killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s military chief Mohammad Shirazi. Now, National Security Council chief Ali Larijani and Defense Council chief Ali Shamkhani have also been killed by America and Israel together. Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of Iran’s paramilitary force Basij, has also been killed. The rest, Hossein Jabal Amelian of Defense Research, Intelligence officer Saleh Asadi and Police Intelligence Chief Ghulam Reza Rezaian have also been killed.

Iran will not bow down under any circumstances: Araghchi

Still, Iran has neither broken nor bowed down, rather it is now attacking with even more force. After the end of the old leadership, the new leadership is completely linked to Iran’s elite unit IRGC, which is more powerful and more fanatical. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi himself is saying that if anyone dies in Iran, someone else will take his place and if I am also killed, then a new person will become the Foreign Minister of Iran, but Iran will not bow down under any circumstances.

Iran has prepared itself in such a way in the last 20 years that the system there does not run on any individual but on the institution. Foreign Minister Araghchi has also said that the system does not break with the departure of one person. In such a situation, the void is being created due to the departure of the old leadership. It is being filled by those generals of IRGC who believe in the policy of direct attack and revenge.

How did America get trapped by attacking Iran?

Now the war is getting longer and neither Israel nor America is able to see a way to end this war. There are only two options, either this war should be prolonged further and more Iranian generals should be killed and this war should continue until Iran surrenders or America and Israel should send their armies to fight one-on-one.

The danger in the first option is that if the war continues for a long time, there will be an outcry for oil and gas in the whole world, due to which more countries will have to join this war, which will lead to the Third World War. Whereas the danger of the second option is that the American army will again get trapped in Iran like Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, the consequences of which will be very dire.

‘More than 500 girls were forcibly converted in Pakistan’, claims human rights organization

0

A leading organization working for the rights of minorities has announced Pakistan 515 cases were registered during this period.

Citing individual figures, the Voice of Pakistan Minority (VOPM) said that while the figures may appear to be mere numbers, each number represents a human tragedy – ‘a terrified girl, a devastated family, and a community that lives in constant fear.’

According to the report, 69 percent of the victims are Hindu girls, followed by 31 percent from the Christian community, while some cases are also of Sikh girls. VOPM said, ‘These figures show the weakness of those minority communities who are already living on the margins of the society. ‘When a community lacks social power and institutional protection, its most vulnerable members — especially young women — often face the most threats.’

Expressing concern about the age of the victims, this human rights organization said that 52 percent of the victims are between 14 and 18 years of age, while 20 percent are below 14 years of age. The organization said such cases often lead to a painful struggle for justice, with helpless parents being told that their daughter has changed religion or married of her own free will – raising serious questions about what the meaning of free will is when the victims are minors.

Human rights activists have repeatedly expressed concern over such matters. VOPM cited reports that many victims were forced or coerced into converting and marrying; Often in such situations, minority families have neither the resources nor the clout to seek legal help.

The organization said that in some cases, Pakistani The courts have also upheld such marriages and religious conversions, which leave families devastated and helpless. According to the organization, the Center for Social Justice (CSJ), a human rights organization working in Pakistan, points out the seriousness of the issue; It has recorded hundreds of cases of abduction and forced conversion of minority girls, many of whom were minors.

VOPM said, ‘These figures show that there is a need to make the law more stringent in this regard, and accountability of various responsible institutions should also be fixed. The silence on this issue is most disturbing. An issue may create an uproar in the media or social networks for some time, but it soon cools down. Another story takes its place, and past victims quietly disappear from public conversation. Meanwhile, this trend continues.

It further said, ‘This silence isolates the minorities. There is a painful message hidden in this (whether intentionally or unintentionally) that their suffering is not being taken seriously or no one is showing sympathy with them.

Emphasizing that cases of abduction and forced conversion of minority girls across Pakistan require more than just sympathy or occasional questioning, VOPM said, “This requires stronger legal protections for minors, transparent investigations, accountability of perpetrators, and meaningful safeguards for vulnerable communities.” Above all, it requires society to hear the voices of victims and their families—voices that often go unheard.’

Oil tension will end! Amidst the war in the Middle East, big good news came for India, Russia gave big relief

0

Most of the countries of the world are facing global energy crisis amid the ongoing war between America, Israel and Iran. Meanwhile, a Russian oil tanker going to China suddenly changed its route from the South China Sea and headed towards India. This has happened when India has increased the purchase of Russian crude amid the war and many tankers which were going to Chinese ports have now turned to India.

The change in the route of the Russian oil tanker is also considered important because recently America had given India permission to increase the purchase of Russian crude oil, so that the energy crisis caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid the war between Iran and America-Israel could be countered. Let us tell you that more than 20 percent of the world’s oil and LPG is supplied through the Strait of Hormuz.

Mangalore will reach on 21st March

Quoting news agency IANS reports, Aframax tanker Aqua Titan, loaded with crude oil, is scheduled to reach New Mangalore on March 21, which will contain crude oil from the Urals. The ship was initially destined for Rizhao, China, after loading oil from a Baltic Sea port in late January. However, according to reports, suddenly changing course in mid-March, the ship turned into the South China Sea and started heading towards India.

India increased purchase of crude oil from Russia

This development has come to light at a time when America It is encouraging all the countries of the world to buy Russian crude oil. In such a situation, Indian refining companies have increased the purchase of crude oil and have purchased about 30 million barrels of Russian crude oil in just one week. This surge in purchases has been recorded with the aim of alleviating supply concerns following disruptions in oil supplies in the Middle East due to the conflict related to Iran.

7 ships changed route

This change is not limited to just one tanker. Data from analytics firm Vortexa shows that at least seven ships carrying Russian oil have diverted from China to India in recent weeks. According to reports, all major Indian refiners are once again buying Russian crude, making it seem that India is regaining its position as a major buyer for Moscow.

Many countries started buying oil from Russia again

Another tanker, Suezmax Juju N, also India Is headed towards Sikka port and is expected to reach on 25th March. This ship is carrying CPC blend crude oil from Kazakhstan. Earlier, it had left from Novorossiysk located in the Black Sea region of Russia and was initially going to Rzhao, but in the beginning of March it changed its route. Meanwhile, due to the relaxation of sanctions, other countries including Japan and South Korea have also resumed purchasing Russian oil. Analysts say that this new demand from many buyers may lead to a rise in global oil prices in the coming weeks.

Broker’s Call: Prestige Estates Projects (Buy)

0

Target: ₹1,623

CMP: ₹1,320.30

Prestige Estates Projects’ expansion is driven by a diverse portfolio, covering residential, office, retail and hospitality segments.

In 9MFY26, pre-sales surged 122 per cent year on year, surpassing the previous full-year peak, driven primarily by a strong 40 per cent contribution from the NCR region. Quarterly sales volumes stood at 2.9 million sq ft, with over 8,500 units sold YTD, alongside a 6 per cent increase in average realisations.

Revenue for Q3 grew 128 per cent, driven by strong project completions. However, EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 22.5 per cent (vs. 34.3 per cent for 9M), with Q3 compression attributable to product mix. The management has raised its FY26 pre-sales guidance to over ₹30,000 crore, having already achieved ₹22,327 crore in the first nine months, keeping it firmly on track to meet its FY26 guidance.

A strong Q4 launch pipeline across key markets such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, coupled with unrecognized revenue of ₹61,922 crore, provides healthy visibility on future bookings and revenue realisation. However, margins continue to face pressure due to an adverse product mix and elevated business development spending. Despite these near-term challenges, current valuations appear reasonable. Hence, we upgrade our rating to Buy, with a revised target price of ₹1,623, based on FY28E NAV.
