Allahabad High Court has made an important comment while hearing a case, Allahabad High Court has said that under Articles 14, 15 and 21 of the Constitution of India, it is not a crime for an inter-religious couple to be in a live-in relationship. In fact, the Allahabad High Court has made the above comment while hearing a petition seeking protection by a couple living in an inter-religious live-in relationship.
Allahabad High Court, while commenting during the hearing in this case, has said that keeping in mind Articles 14, 15 and 21 of the Constitution of India and the Act of the year 2021, it cannot be said that living in a ‘live-in relationship’ of an inter-religious couple is a crime.
The court said that if the petitioners have not committed any crime then the court does not see any reason why their demand for providing security should not be accepted. The court said that the constitutional fundamental rights received under Article 21 of the Constitution of India have a much higher status.
The court accepted the petition of the petitioner inter-religious couple and directed that if any person tries to convert the petitioners against their will, or through any fraudulent means, force, coercion, inducement, undue influence or misrepresentation, then the petitioners can report it or lodge a complaint with the police.
A Hindu girl and a Muslim youth living in a live-in relationship had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court demanding that the court issue an order directing the defendants not to interfere in the peaceful life and freedom of both of them and also directing them to provide security.
The court said that once a person becomes an adult, he can live with whomever he wants and no one can interfere in his choice.
This has happened for the first time in Bihar politics. It can be said that to show respect to Nitish Kumar, who was the Chief Minister for 20 years, the resignation letter was taken by going to the CM residence. But, it is also being said that when he was not ready to resign, his resignation was taken from him. Actually, before the Legislative Council the picture came that JDU’s Sanjay Gandhi had brought Nitish Kumar’s resignation letter. But, now Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh has given important information. He said that he met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the morning for a courtesy call. From there the Legislative Council came with the resignation and now further formalities are being done.

Gold prices remained steady on a volatile Monday. While a weaker US dollar supported the metal, a sharp jump in energy prices sparked inflation fears. This has further reduced the chances of the US Federal Reserve cutting interest rates in 2026.
Here is a breakdown of the current market situation:

Gold and precious metal prices today
Weak US Dollar: The dollar eased slightly, making gold cheaper for buyers using other currencies (like the Indian Rupee).
Crude Oil Surge: Brent crude jumped above $115 per barrel following Houthi attacks on Israel. Oil prices have risen by a record 60% in March alone.
Inflation vs. Interest Rates: While gold is usually a “safe haven” during high inflation, it faces pressure when interest rates remain high. Since high energy prices keep inflation up, the US Fed is unlikely to cut rates soon.
Geopolitical Tension: Ongoing conflicts involving Israel, Iran, and Yemen are causing massive swings (volatility) in global markets.
Expert Insight
Nicholas Frappell from ABC Refinery noted that gold showed signs of recovery last week after a three-week losing streak. However, he warned that the market remains unpredictable due to “rapidly changing headlines” and shifting interest rate expectations.
Historical Context
Gold has struggled this month, falling over 15%—its worst monthly performance since 2008. This decline is largely due to the US dollar strengthening by over 2% since the conflict began on February 28.
