Ishan Kishan said that he is ready to bat at any order in the World Cup.

New Delhi. Ishan Kishan says that he is ready to bat in any batting order in the T20 World Cup. This left-handed wicket-keeper batsman scored a stormy half-century in the warm-up match against South Africa. After scoring a half-century in 20 balls, Ishaan said that I am ready to bat in whatever order is asked in the interest of the team. India defeated South Africa by 30 runs in the first warm-up match.

In the warm-up match played on Wednesday, Ishan Kishan scored 53 runs in 20 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 2 fours. He was retired out on this score. After winning the match, Ishaan said, ‘I was very excited about this match. I really enjoyed that situation while batting at number 3, but the World Cup is coming, so I will bat at any position. My focus is always on giving my best for the team.

He said, ‘It is important for me to stay in the present, keep an eye on the ball and play shots as per the need of the moment. I don’t think too much about it, I just react. I see the ball and play accordingly. This method is proving effective for me. Some days you feel great, some days you don’t. The pitch also needs to be given credit in this match. It was great for batting. The pitch supported the batsmen in the second innings also. I trusted the wicket and bounce. With the World Cup being so close, it is important that if the ball is playable, even if the fielder is standing, you play the shot with confidence in yourself.

In this match, Tilak Verma faced 19 balls and scored 45 runs. His innings included 3 sixes and the same number of fours. Praising Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan said, ‘He is a very important player for us. Now he is not just a batsman. He also bowls some overs, especially when two left-handed batsmen are at the crease. He is a very good fielder and the way he is batting these days, there is a need for a player at number three who can rotate the strike and maintain the run pace.

Despite scoring 240 runs, India won the match by just 30 runs. Ishaan said, ‘There is always scope for improvement. We will sit and discuss where to bowl against the batsmen and how to plan better, but on this wicket I think we did well. It was not easy and we did not give many sixes. Overall it was a solid bowling performance, although we will definitely discuss how to improve further.

Controversial pro-Israel influencer blocked from Australia for anti-Islam posts

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Late last month, the Australian government canceled a travel visa for outspoken Jewish influencer Sammy Yahood over anti-Islam comments posted to social media — critics say this is just the latest instance of targeting pro-Israel voices by authorities.

In an Instagram post, Yahood claimed the Australian government “called up the UAE,” to be sure that he could not board a plane to Melbourne.

He said he booked his travel via the United Arab Emirates three days before the Bondi Beach terror attack that killed 15 people assembled for a beachside Hannukah celebration. Following the tragedy, he said that he hoped his visit would give the Jewish community “some hope for the future.”

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said of his visa cancellation that, “spreading hatred is not a good reason to come” to Australia, the Guardian newspaper reported. On social media, the controversial influencer, Yahood, has called for a ban on Islam, saying, “it’s time to stop being tolerant of those that are not tolerant of us.”

Avi Yemini, chief reporter for Rebel News Online in Australia, told Fox News Digital that Yahood “is just the latest name on a growing list of Jews being barred from entering Australia, not because they pose any genuine security threat, but because this government is pandering to a specific voting bloc.”

Yemini claimed that “only one Islamist extremist has been stopped under this government. In the aftermath of the Bondi terror attack, that imbalance tells you everything you need to know about their priorities.”

The Australian government blocked the visa of Lebanese preacher Hussain Makke in March 2025, according to the Herald Sun. Makke had planned to speak during Ramadan in Melbourne and Sydney. His visa was canceled after he attended the funeral of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, whom he described as the “greatest freedom fighter.”

Fox News Digital also found that in Aug. 2025, the government blocked travel for a Palestinian cookbook author who openly expressed support for Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre, the Sydney Morning Herald said. SBS reported that a 61-year-old Palestinian woman had her visa canceled while in Australia in July 2025.

Three other Israelis were also canceled after Oct. 7, 2023 by the Australian government. In June last year, the visa of prominent pro-Israel activist Hillel Fuld was stopped. Fuld’s brother was killed in a terrorist attack in Jerusalem in 2018.

The Times of Israel reported that in a letter sent to Fuld from the Ministry of Home Affairs, his visit would incite “particular segments of the community, namely the Islamic population,” the report claimed.

Two months later, the government canceled a visa for right-wing Israeli politician Simcha Rothman, who had a speaking tour scheduled in Melbourne and Sydney. Rothman is a member of Israel’s governing coalition.

In 2024, Burke canceled a visa for former Israeli parliamentarian Ayelet Shaked, citing remarks about Palestinians that he felt were “demeaning,” according to ABC News.

The Australian Embassy and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade did not answer questions about Yemini’s claims. The press secretary of the Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, declined to respond without Fox News Digital naming sources of criticism against the pm.

The Home Affairs Ministry told Fox News Digital it could not comment on specific cases and did not respond to additional questions.

The environment inside Australia remains tense following the Bondi Beach massacre.

Former Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison recently drew condemnation when he suggested that Muslim leaders should be licensed to preach, and that their teaching should be translated into English. Morrison suggested that Muslims in Australia should take “accountability and responsibility” for radicalization, the Australian reported.

The site also claimed that one of the shooters had ties to Sydney preacher Wissam Haddad, some of whose lectures ABC News says were ordered removed from social media by a federal judge because they were found to contain “racist and antisemitic” content.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) produced a 15-minute video which they claim contains multiple instances of incitement to violence towards Jews, recorded at protests in Sydney and at a variety of mosques within 30–40 minutes of Bondi Beach.

Albanese’s press secretary did not respond to questions about whether Albanese had made any effort to respond to the conduct shown in the video.

The Australian National Imams’ Council called Morrison’s remarks “reckless, irresponsible, and deeply ill-informed,” and said it was unacceptable “to suggest that an entire faith community should be held accountable for the actions of two (alleged) criminal offenders, both of whom law enforcement agencies have confirmed acted alone.”

Yemini said the response to Morrison “is part of a broader attempt to shut down any honest conversation about what is driving the surge in antisemitism and ideological violence in Australia.” He said that Australians were told for years that “it was reasonable to distinguish between Islam and radical Islam. Now, we’re being told to ignore the fact that attackers themselves cite religion as their motivation.”

Alankar Agnihotri on UGC taunts Union Minister Jitin Prasad, ‘Bangles and ghungroos…’

0

Even after the Supreme Court banned the new rules of UGC, politics continues regarding it. Suspended City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri, who came into limelight by giving statements on the policies of the Central and State Government, has now cornered Union Minister Jitin Prasad. He sarcastically said that the society should send him bangles and ghunghrus so that he feels ashamed. He alleged that such a leader did not even once raise his voice regarding UGC and SC-ST.

Alankar Agnihotri accused Union Minister Jitin Prasad and said, “The PWD minister, who earlier became the name of the upper castes by forming the Brahmin Chetna Parishad, is now keeping silence on the UGC. He is silent because he is having fun in the big ministry of power like Electronics and Commerce Tax Technology.

Instead of raising his voice, he is sleeping – Alankar Agnihotri

While talking to the media, Agnihotri, while speaking about the upper castes, said, “This is the same Jitin Prasad who first had fun in the PWD ministry by creating Brahmin consciousness. Now by becoming MPs from among the upper castes, they are looting the accolades of power and ruining the reputation of the society. General and SC-ST categories have been separated. The one who is awake for his society is sleeping instead of raising his voice. He is engaged in building properties worth crores in foreign countries including Dubai.

Will contest elections on 543 seats- Alankar Agnihotri

He said, “Send nice bangles and bangles to your local MP Jitin Prasad and mail them. He has formed Brahmin Chetna Parishad. Took the PWD ministry in his name, after that he took the Ministry of Commerce and Electronic Technology. All of them will work as a mirror to the representatives of the upper caste community. If you had received a call from Mata Prasad Pandey, you would have done it before that. Will contest elections on 543 seats.

Alankar Agnihotri was suspended by UP government

Immediately after the resignation of City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri, the UP government had suspended him. In fact, Alankar Agnihotri had expressed deep resentment against the government policies, especially the new rules of the University Grants Commission (UGC). They allege that these rules discriminate against general category students and can create caste unrest on campus.

Apart from this, he also referred to a controversy related to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and claimed that the administration insulted the symbols and saints of Sanatan culture. He had alleged that an attempt was made to keep him hostage overnight in the DM’s camp office.

The Washington Post, one of the world’s leading media organizations, has announced mass layoffs on Wednesday (February 4, 2026). This organization of Jeff Bezos decided to close its existing sports desk and also cut down on international reporting. One-third of the company’s employees were affected by this layoff.

In an interview with Fox News, The Washington Post said, ‘Today we are taking many decisive steps for our future. We have taken this decision to provide specialized journalism and to further improve our position. This will give a distinct identity to our institute and attract our users.

Retired executive editor angry over retrenchment

Speaking to The Wrap, Mary Baron, retired executive editor of the Washington Post, said, ‘This decision is one of the darkest days in the history of this institution. This will seriously affect the mission of The Washington Post. This will further reduce the number of talented and courageous employees. People around the world will be deprived of our on-the-ground reporting, which is needed today more than ever.

Last week, The Washington Post employees appealed to Jeff Bezos to reconsider possible layoffs. The Washington Post Guild opposed further layoffs, saying it would weaken the paper. The guild said, ‘This move by the institute will alienate readers and harm its mission of holding power accountable.’

New Delhi Bureau Chief was also fired from the job

Pranshu Verma, New Delhi Bureau Chief of The Washington Post, is also among those who were fired from the job. He posted on X and wrote, ‘I am very sad to inform that I have been fired from The Washington Post. It feels very bad to know that many of my talented friends have also left. Mixed emotions among Palestinians as Rafah crossing partially reopens | Crimes Against Humanity News

0

Palestinians wept with joy as the Rafah crossing with Egypt partially reopened, allowing a small number of people to return to war-torn Gaza.

Emotional crowds gathered around a bus bringing returnees to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis late at night, filming on their phones and lifting children to the windows to greet arrivals.

“We were exhausted from this humiliating journey,” said Rotana al-Riqib, a Palestinian woman in her thirties returning from Egypt. “The Israelis took us to the crossing – me, my mother and another woman from Khan Younis – and interrogated us. They don’t let us bring in anything. They confiscated everything we had, even my children’s belongings. They only left us some clothes.”

The crossing, Gaza’s only exit point that does not lead to Israel, had remained largely closed since Israeli forces took control of it in May 2024 during Israel’s genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Only about two dozen people crossed in both directions on the first day – far fewer than the expected 200, according to sources on both sides.

“They don’t want a large number of people to return to Gaza,” al-Riqib added. “Rather, they want a large number to leave.”

Egypt has consistently warned against the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and has reportedly demanded equal numbers entering and exiting the territory each day.

Ali Shaath, head of a Palestinian committee overseeing Gaza’s governance, called Rafah’s reopening a “window of hope” for the war-devastated territory.

Although 150 people were scheduled to leave and 50 to enter on Monday, only 12 Palestinians – nine women and three children – were permitted to return from Egypt, according to Gaza’s Interior Ministry and border officials.

Gaza’s Interior Ministry reported that eight people departed Gaza, while an Egyptian border source counted 12 people – five injured individuals and seven companions – entering Egypt.

“Things were very difficult, and inspections were taking place everywhere,” said Samira Said after returning through Rafah.

The reopening, long demanded by the United Nations and humanitarian organisations, forms a crucial element of US President Donald Trump’s Gaza truce proposal, where humanitarian conditions remain critical.

For Gaza’s sick and injured, the crossing represents potential access to Egyptian medical care. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, director of Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital, reported 20,000 patients urgently requiring treatment, including 4,500 children.

Gaza City resident Umm Mohammed Abu Shaqfa, 37, whose 11-year-old daughter needs treatment unavailable in the occupied Palestinian territory, said, “We are still waiting to travel through the Rafah crossing for treatment in Egypt. Opening the crossing is a glimmer of hope. Every day, I go to the Ministry of Health office and the World Health Organization to check if my daughter’s name is on the list.”

While Rafah serves as a crucial entry point for both people and supplies, COGAT, the Israeli Defence Ministry body coordinating Palestinian civilian affairs, has not mentioned allowing a substantial increase in aid into Gaza.

He said, ‘As a cricketer, you always have to keep adding something to your game. I have to keep trying to improve in every aspect of my game.

Pant has made comebacks several times in his career and talking about it, he said that being away from the field has helped him develop a different outlook towards both cricket and life. However, he admitted that being away from top-level competition was the hardest part.

He said, ‘Every comeback has taught me something about life. It’s taught me more gratitude, how you see things around you, and committing to doing something that truly makes you happy. Fulton County files motion for return of seized 2020 ballots

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Fulton County officials in Georgia filed a motion Tuesday seeking the return of 2020 ballots and other documents that were seized last week by the FBI from a warehouse.

The motion, which remains under seal, asks a federal court to compel the return of court to return around 656 boxes of original 2020 election materials.

A warrant cover sheet provided to the county includes a list of items that the agents were seeking related to the 2020 general election: all ballots, tabulator tapes from the scanners that tally the votes, electronic ballot images created when the ballots were counted and then recounted, and all voter rolls.

“This morning’s filing could not have come fast enough; justice delayed is justice denied,” said Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington, whose district includes the elections headquarters. “The people of Fulton County deserve justice now, and that’s why I pushed so hard to get this motion filed as soon as possible.”

The motion also asks the court to enjoin the federal government from accessing, searching, relying on, reviewing, or otherwise using the materials while the motion is pending.

The FBI search took place Jan. 28 at Fulton County’s main election facility in Union City, near Atlanta, and focused on records connected to the 2020 general election, Fox Atlanta reported.

The heavily Democratic Fulton County has come under scrutiny following President Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss to former President Joe Biden. Biden carried Georgia, but Trump has insisted that widespread voter fraud contributed to him losing the state.

“The president himself and his allies, they refuse to accept the fact that they lost,” County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts said Wednesday. “And even if he had won Georgia, he would still have lost the presidency.”

Pitts defended the county’s election practices and said Fulton has conducted 17 elections since 2020 without any issues.

“This case is not only about Fulton County. This is about elections across Georgia and across the nation,” Pitts said, citing comments by Trump earlier this week on a podcast where he called for Republicans to “take over” and “nationalize” elections. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt has said the president was referring to legislative efforts.

VMware ESXi flaw now exploited in ransomware attacks

0

VMware

CISA confirmed on Wednesday that ransomware gangs have begun exploiting a high-severity VMware ESXi sandbox escape vulnerability that was previously used in zero-day attacks.

Broadcom patched this ESXi arbitrary-write vulnerability (tracked as CVE-2025-22225) in March 2025 alongside a memory leak (CVE-2025-22226) and a TOCTOU flaw (CVE-2025-22224), and tagged them all as actively exploited zero-days.

“A malicious actor with privileges within the VMX process may trigger an arbitrary kernel write leading to an escape of the sandbox,” Broadcom said about the CVE-2025-22225 flaw.

Wiz

At the time, the company said that the three vulnerabilities affect VMware ESX products, including VMware ESXi, Fusion, Cloud Foundation, vSphere, Workstation, and Telco Cloud Platform, and that attackers with privileged administrator or root access can chain them to escape the virtual machine’s sandbox.

According to a report published last month by cybersecurity company Huntress, Chinese-speaking threat actors have likely been chaining these flaws in sophisticated zero-day attacks since at least February 2024.

Flagged as exploited in ransomware attacks

In a Wednesday update to its list of vulnerabilities exploited in the wild, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said CVE-2025-22225 is now known to be used in ransomware campaigns but didn’t provide more details about these ongoing attacks.

CISA first added the flaw to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog in March 2025 and ordered federal agencies to secure their systems by March 25, 2025, as mandated by Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 22-01.

“Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable,” the cybersecurity agency says.

Ransomware gangs and state-sponsored hacking groups often target VMware vulnerabilities because VMware products are widely deployed on enterprise systems that commonly store sensitive corporate data.

For instance, in October, CISA ordered government agencies to patch a high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2025-41244) in Broadcom’s VMware Aria Operations and VMware Tools software, which Chinese hackers have exploited in zero-day attacks since October 2024.

More recently, CISA has also tagged a critical VMware vCenter Server vulnerability (CVE-2024-37079) as actively exploited in January and ordered federal agencies to secure their servers by February 13.

In related news, this week, cybersecurity company GreyNoise reported that CISA has “silently” tagged 59 security flaws as known to be used in ransomware campaigns last year alone.

Trump hails ‘excellent’ phone call with China’s Xi amid trade tensions | Xi Jinping News

Trump stresses his ‘extremely good’ personal relationship with Xi Jinping, key to maintaining stable US-China ties.

United States President Donald Trump says he had an “excellent” phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which covered issues including trade, energy, Taiwan, Iran, and Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The Wednesday phone call came several hours after Xi spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which both pledged to strengthen ties amid a “turbulent” international environment.

“All very positive,” Trump said in a social media post. “The relationship with China, and my personal relationship with President Xi, is an extremely good one, and we both realise how important it is to keep it that way.”

The US president is expected to travel to China in April and has touted his personal relationship with Xi, even as the two countries continue to spar over competing interests in tech, trade, and geopolitical flashpoints such as the future of Taiwan.

Trump stated that the two leaders discussed the situation in Iran, which has been roiled by recent protests and a harsh security crackdown and that Trump has threatened to attack if Tehran does not make deep concessions on a range of issues, but did not offer further details.

A readout of the call from the Chinese government shared by the Xinhua state news agency does not mention Trump’s expected visit, but says that Trump and Xi have maintained “good communication”, including an in-person meeting in Busan, South Korea, last year.

The Chinese leader said that differences with the US could be handled amicably so long as they were based on equality and respect, but noted that reunification with Taiwan, the self-governing island that China sees as an essential part of its territory, remains a key priority for Beijing.

“Xi stressed that the Taiwan question is the most important issue in China–US relations,” the readout states, adding that the US should approach arms sales to Taiwan with “great prudence”.

“Taiwan is China’s territory. China must safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and it will never allow Taiwan to be separated from China.”

The US approved an $11bn arms package for Taiwan in December, one of the largest ever, to bolster Taiwan’s defence capabilities.

Trump said that China has agreed to increase its purchase of US soya beans from 12 million tonnes in the current season up to 20 million tonnes, which he celebrated as a boon for US agricultural production.

He added that China has committed to purchasing 25 million tonnes in the following season. The Chinese readout makes no mention of soya beans.
