Giving a big signal towards ending the ongoing conflict in West Asia, US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that if Iran accepts the set conditions, America’s military operation ‘Operation Epic Fury’ can be ended and the military embargo imposed in the Strait of Hormuz can also be removed.
Trump gave this statement on his social media platform Truth Social. He said that if Tehran accepts the previously agreed terms, the conflict could end and the Strait of Hormuz would be opened to all countries, including Iran.
Trump’s strict warning
However, Trump also gave a strong warning to Iran. He said that if Iran does not agree to the deal, then US military action will be taken at a faster and more serious level. Trump clearly said, ‘If they do not agree, the bombing will begin and it will be more intense and on a larger scale than ever before.’
Discussion on peace agreement intensifies
This statement has come at a time when according to American media reports, the White House is very close to a possible agreement with Iran. The report said that the proposal is based on 14 points and Iran’s response is awaited in the next 48 hours. According to reports, the proposal includes issues like a 30-day negotiation period, a freeze on Iran’s nuclear program and relief from sanctions by the US. Efforts are also underway to reach a consensus on opening the Strait of Hormuz.
The proposal talks about stopping Iran’s uranium enrichment for a long time, while Iran is said to have agreed to stop it for a limited period. Apart from this, United Nations inspection and strict security rules are also part of the proposal.
