On Sunday, a fire safety drill was organized in the Central Park of La Residency Society, in which a large number of people living in the society participated. Sumil Jalota, a resident of the society, said that a few days ago a fire incident took place in a flat in the complex. Due to which all the contents of the flat were burnt to ashes.

Sumil Jalota said that taking cognizance of this incident, society resident and ex-army man Bijoy Tripathi gave detailed information to the people about the necessary steps to be taken in case of fire. Instead of panicking, it is most important to remain calm and take the right decision.
Practical demonstration was also conducted during the drill, in which the correct use of fire extinguisher, methods of initial control in case of fire, and the process of safely evacuating the building were explained. Besides, the importance of emergency exits, alarm systems and fire safety equipment was also highlighted.

Information given to women and children
During this time, women and children were specially trained and made aware, so that they can keep themselves safe in any emergency and can also help others. People were told that small carelessness, misuse of electrical appliances or keeping flammable items in the open can lead to major accidents.
Apart from this, the objective of the drill was not only to provide information but also to create confidence among the people, so that they can face any emergency situation wisely. Residents appreciated the initiative and said that such programs should be organized from time to time, so that everyone remains alert and prepared.
