A sensational incident has come to light that puts the friendship relationship with Nalanda in Bihar to shame. On the night of Tuesday (February 24, 2026), a friend called him from home and shot him. The body was recovered from Damar Bigha village of Manpur police station area. The deceased has been identified as Saurav Kumar (16-17 years), son of Ramanuj Prasad, resident of Pava village of Deepnagar police station area.
Family members told that last night a friend had called Saurav from home. Saurav had left the house saying that a friend was calling, but did not return till late in the night. After some time, information was received that a dead body was found near Damar Bigha village. When the family reached the spot, they identified the body as Saurav.
There could be a dispute over money behind the murder
In this whole matter, the family members have accused a young man named Mithilesh from the village of calling Saurav. The police have started investigating the entire matter. There is talk among the local people that there could be a dispute over money behind the murder. It is being told that Saurav was involved in illegal liquor business. He was having a dispute with some people regarding this. Police is investigating from this angle also.
Mithilesh taken into custody
Regarding the incident, Manpur police station in-charge said that the entire matter is being investigated. A young man (Mithilesh) is being detained and interrogated. The reasons for the murder will be revealed soon. On the other hand, the police has sent the body for post-mortem. Further action has been initiated.
It is being said that the murder incident took place somewhere else and later the body was brought and thrown near Damar Bigha village of Manpur police station area. During the investigation of the incident police have found many important clues. Action is being taken on that basis also.
