A 25-year-old youth died after the airbag of a car parked on Mumbai’s Mira Road suddenly opened. CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced, in which the young man is seen parking the car. Within moments of parking the airbag installed in the steering wheel burst. After its loud sound, a woman and people nearby were seen looking at the car in fear.
The plastic piece of the airbag cover hit the neck of Mohit Suresh Soni (25) with force, causing serious injury. Due to this injury, he started bleeding profusely. He was immediately taken to Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Government Hospital in Bhayandar, but doctors declared him dead. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

Mohit is a car dealer by profession and this accident happened to him on Wednesday afternoon near Pleasant Park Society of Kashimira. The car was parked here. Mohit was checking the car brought for sale when suddenly the airbag of the car opened. During this, a plastic piece of the airbag cover hit the right side of Mohit’s neck, causing serious injury and he died due to excessive bleeding. Due to the sound made by the airbag opening, people nearby were seen looking towards the car, but no one went near immediately and saw, by the time the incident came to light it was too late.

Kashimira police have registered a case of accidental death and started investigating the matter. At the same time, the brother of the deceased has demanded an investigation into the entire incident.
