Fluctuations in weather continue continuously. While rains are wreaking havoc in some parts of the country, people are suffering due to the scorching heat in some states. After the cloud burst in Arunachal, there is still flood. The south-west monsoon is advancing and till now has reached 22 states of the country. It is raining heavily in Northeast and South India. But some states are still in the grip of heat, where the temperature remains above 40 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon will hit the rest of the states by July 5. This time the monsoon is delayed by more than a week in UP and it is expected to arrive in the next two days.

Possibility of heavy rain in these areas

The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during this week. Apart from this, there may be very heavy rain at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya on June 28. According to the Meteorological Department, during the next three-four days, there are favorable conditions for the entry of South-West Monsoon into North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and remaining parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department said that severe humidity and heat wave is likely to continue at some places in Bihar, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Rain forecast in the country

There is a possibility of rain at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand during one or two days in the northwest part of the country and at some places in Himachal Pradesh during June 27-30. At the same time, there may be isolated rain in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab till July 2. Apart from this, there may be rain at some places in Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern and Western Rajasthan from June 29 to July 3. During this period, there may be rain in Western and Eastern Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. The department said that there is a possibility of rain at almost all places in Eastern India including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar. Apart from this, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha and Bihar from June 28 to July 3.

Arunachal: Two killed in floods, warning of heavy rains

The death toll in floods due to heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh’s Keyi Panyor district has risen to two. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in many other parts of the state from Sunday. Disaster management officer of Keyi Panayor said that the body of a woman was taken out from the debris on Saturday. The deceased Ballari Marak alias Olin Sinkali was a resident of Ribhoi district of Meghalaya. He said Marak was among the five people who went missing in the flash floods caused by heavy rains on Wednesday. Three of them are still missing. The official said that relief and rescue operations are being conducted to trace the missing people.

Four people died, eight injured due to lightning in Chhindwara

Four people died due to lightning in two incidents in Chhindwara district of MP. Eight other people are injured due to burn injuries. According to the police, lightning had struck Baihar and Garhi police station areas on Friday. Baihar police station in-charge Jayant Marscole said that two people died on the spot, while two others died during treatment. He said that two seriously injured have been shifted to the district hospital. Six people are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Heat wave still rages in many states, mercury crosses 40

According to the Meteorological Department, many cities of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and Gujarat are still facing the heat. Despite the monsoon season, temperatures are still above 40 degrees Celsius at many places in these states.
