A big news is coming amid the ongoing fierce conflict in West Asia. On the 34th day of the war, the highest bridge in West Asia has been targeted in air strikes. After this attack, the connection of Iran’s capital Tehran with its neighboring city Karaj has been completely cut off. Local media has confirmed this gruesome attack.
According to the report, many people are reported to have been seriously injured in this attack. The magnitude of the attack can be gauged from the fact that apart from the bridge, many other areas of Karaj city have also been targeted, due to which there is an atmosphere of chaos there.
This bridge was the pride of Iranian engineering
The B1 bridge that was targeted in this attack was not just a way for Iran. It was one of the most modern engineering projects in Western Asia, built entirely with the help of Iranian technology. The features of this bridge were surprising. This bridge was 1,050 meters long and was divided into eight parts. Its longest part was 176 meters. To hold it, a huge pillar 136 meters high was built. It cost a huge amount of about 400 million US dollars to build it.
The bridge was inaugurated in the beginning of this year. It was claimed that this bridge will not only connect two big cities but will also give a new impetus to international trade. But this attack has deeply hurt this dream of Iran.
Historic Pasteur Institute also became target
Along with the destruction of the bridge, the attack on Iran’s famous ‘Pasteur Institute’ on Thursday has also attracted the attention of the whole world. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghei said that American-Israeli bombers have attacked Iran’s Pasteur Institute.
Let us tell you that this institute is the oldest and most prestigious public health and research center not only in Iran but in the entire West Asia. It was established in the year 1920 under a special agreement between the Pasteur Institute of Paris and the then Iranian government.
