A unique sight was seen in the capital Delhi on the eve of the 136th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, when leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party decorated his statues and monuments located in different parts of the capital and showed respect by lighting lamps. This event not only brought tribute but also brought the message of social awareness and cleanliness.
Under the leadership of Scheduled Caste Morcha, BJP workers cleaned about 200 statues installed in parks, monuments and government offices in Delhi. After this, Deepotsav was celebrated by lighting lamps at these places, due to which the atmosphere became completely festive.
Main program held at Ambedkar International Center located at Janpath
In the program organized at Janpath, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh and Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva addressed the workers by lighting the lamp. Many prominent leaders including Arvinder Singh Lovely, Kailash Gehlot, Rajkumar Anand, Mohan Lal Gihara and Ravindra Chaudhary were present on this occasion.
Festive atmosphere visible in different areas of Delhi
Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra celebrated Deepotsav by running a cleanliness campaign in Ambedkar Park located in Vishwas Nagar. Whereas MP Kamaljit Sehrawat and Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh participated in the program organized in India Gate Lawns area. Hundreds of workers including Lal Singh Arya, Vishnu Mittal, Suman Kumar Gupta and Yasir Jilani participated in the program organized at Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial located on Alipore Road. Arvind Garg presided over the program.
Claims to run cleanliness campaign around thousands of statues across the country
Tarun Chugh said that BJP workers have launched a cleaning campaign around thousands of Ambedkar statues across the country. He told that Deepotsav was organized across the country from 6 pm, due to which an atmosphere like Diwali was created. He has described Baba Saheb as the great creator of the Constitution who gave equality and voting rights.
The issue of women empowerment was also raised
On this occasion, Chugh said that the efforts for women upliftment started by Dr. Ambedkar have been implemented today. Narendra Modi Taking it forward. Referring to schemes like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, he said that the government is determined to give 100 percent rights to women.
