The controversy that started in Meerut regarding the marriage of Shahvez and Akanksha now seems to be divided into two clear poles. On one side there are Hindu organizations and the girl’s uncle Premchand. While uncle is openly opposing this marriage calling it ‘Love Jihad’, on the other hand Akanksha herself is coming forward and telling the truth about her love story and relationship. The matter gained momentum when the wedding cards of February 13 went viral on social media.
After this, some Hindu organizations expressed strong objection to this marriage. Later the girl’s uncle also came out against this marriage and submitted a memorandum to the Senior Superintendent of Police. He even said in front of the media that this marriage would not be allowed to happen at any cost.
Organizations had made this allegation
The organizations alleged that this case was an affair done by hiding the identity. In this regard, a case of conversion has also been filed by the girl’s uncle against Shahvez alias Sahil, which is being investigated by the police.
Now amidst this whole controversy, Akanksha’s statement has come out, which has given a completely different turn to the story. Akanksha says that she has known Shahvez for the last six years and she had full knowledge of his identity from the beginning. According to him, Shahvez never hid his name or religion nor did he cheat in any way.

Akanksha also made it clear that her mother was already aware of this relationship. This relationship is based on mutual consent, understanding and trust. He has denied any kind of pressure or coercion. Akanksha told that she had adopted Buddhism and was going to get married according to the same customs, but Hindu organizations got the wedding booking canceled by threatening the banquet hall owners. Earlier on February 9, the engagement was also stopped.
Now the situation is that on one hand Hindu organizations are adamant on their allegations, while on the other hand a young woman is saying that her love story is true and voluntary. This conflict has also put the administration in a state of confusion.

At present, after Akanksha’s statement, questions have been raised on the allegations of Love Jihad. And this marriage is now stuck in controversies. An attempt was made to contact Shahvez in this entire matter, but his mobile was found switched off.
