Lungi Ngidi revealed his secret plan: After his strong bowling in the Super-8 against India, Lungi Ngidi told how there has been a newness in his bowling because of West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo. It was because of Ndigi’s lethal bowling that South Africa team defeated India by 76 runs in the Super-8.

Lungi Ngidi bowled powerfully against India
Ahmedabad: South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi credited Indian Premier League (IPL) and former West Indies and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo for becoming a good bowler in T20 cricket. Ngidi reshaped his bowling skills during his time with Chennai Super Kings as he transformed his slower ball into a decisive weapon by watching Bravo and spending many hours with him. In the T20 World Cup match played against India on Sunday, Ngidi presented a brilliant example of his slow ball and gave only 15 runs in four overs. The slow ball has now become an important part of his bowling skills.
Ngidi said, “I had said earlier also that I was in the IPL with Bravo in 2018. During that entire IPL, I worked only on that ball. I was not getting a chance to play and hence I found time to practice. After this, when I returned to South Africa, I tried to make that ball perfect. He admitted that mastering the art of changing the speed of the ball is a gradual process.
Ngidi is benefiting from variation
Ngidi said, “Whether it is a slow yorker, back of length or a slow bouncy ball. That means bowling three different lengths from the same ball. I think you have to guess what the next ball will be.” This South African fast bowler said that during this time people did not pay attention to him, which benefited him.
He said, “I think perhaps I am working away from the public eye. That’s why many people don’t pay attention to me. I think this helped me bring variety to my bowling.
