warehouse owner arrested

The Chief Minister’s statement on the Kolkata incident is very important. Especially considering the serious allegations that have been leveled against the warehouse owner Shambhunath Behera. The allegation is that he had built this warehouse illegally in connivance with some officials of the previous Trinamool Congress-ruled board of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Shambhunath Behera was arrested by Kolkata Police on Thursday morning. Three other people, who were detained for questioning in this case on Wednesday night, have also been arrested. These include warehouse supervisor Mohammad Gulzar, labor contractor Mohammad Atayul and Subhash Chaudhary.

Had already written a letter and warned

Along with this, the workers union of Port Trust, associated with the trade union branch of CPM, had raised questions regarding the construction of the warehouse. The union had also warned the officials through a letter on June 11 that there could be a danger of an accident from this warehouse. According to the union, notorious mafia Asghar was mainly involved in this construction. At the same time, Port Trust officials clarified that the construction permission was given by the corporation officials, hence it was their responsibility to investigate any kind of illegal activity.
