Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge left his residence to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new Kerala government led by Chief Minister nominee VD Satheesan. During this, Mallikarjun Kharge said that today VD Satheesan will take the oath of office and secrecy along with his cabinet colleagues. Describing it as a historic victory, he said that the people have given a huge mandate to the Congress, due to which there is an atmosphere of happiness in the party.

VD Satheesan will take over as the Chief Minister of Kerala today. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will also administer oath to 20 ministers along with Satishan today. Satheesan wrote in a post on his X handle that the oath ceremony will be held at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday from 10 am. Opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan and BJP state president Rajiv Chandrashekhar, CPI secretary Binoy Biswam and IUML president Pannakkad Sadiq Ali, several UDF leaders, MPs and MLAs will also be present at the oath-taking ceremony.
