
A major security lapse has come to light at the Children’s Home in RS Pura on Monday. Two Pakistani nationals – Mohammad Suna-ul, Ehsan Ali and Karanjit Singh alias Gugga, resident of Dablad, RS Pura, escaped after firing at the police with machetes and attacking them with sharp weapons. All three were confined here for a long time and were involved in a serious matter. On this security lapse, DGP Nalin Prabhat visited the spot and suspended six policemen on charges of negligence.
The incident is said to have happened at 5:15 pm on Monday evening. Before escaping, the three accused had locked the other 27 prisoners in a room. . Meanwhile, when SPO Vinay Choudhary, on duty, tried to stop them, the three attacked him. When head constable Praveen Kumar intervened, the three attacked him with sharp weapons. Both were left bleeding and seriously injured in the attack. During this time, before the other policemen on duty could understand or respond, the three accused fired and escaped.

The entire incident was captured in CCTV camera. In this, the accused are seen firing with country-made pistols and attacking with sharp weapons. Police is running a search operation to arrest them. Due to the involvement of Pakistani nationals and the accused having pistols, security has been tightened in Jammu and surrounding areas.
Absconded after snatching the bike, police increased patrolling
The accused, who had escaped from the juvenile home, snatched away a passerby’s bike by showing him a country-made pistol near the Rice Mill on the RS Pura-Arnia main road. According to sources, the accused were seen going from Ring Road towards Vijaypur-Samba. After the incident, the police have tightened security in the areas bordering the international border and in Samba and Kathua. Karanjeet Singh alias Gugga is associated with Khaif gang. Its leader is a resident of Vijaypur. After the incident, the police has sought details of all Pakistani minor prisoners lodged in jails.
Were plotting for many days
Initial investigation has revealed that the three accused were conspiring for several days to escape from here. The back wall of the juvenile home was found broken. It is believed that the weapons were thrown inside from here. Even before, teenagers had escaped from the juvenile home by jumping over the wall. Despite this, security arrangements were not strengthened.
Injured policeman said – attacked suddenly
The injured policemen brought to GMC Jammu said that the three were earlier fighting with other teenagers. Meanwhile, as soon as we reached there they were suddenly attacked. They also had country made pistols and sharp weapons. The condition of the injured policemen is said to be stable.
All three accused have become adults
