Rain has broken last year’s record in April. The wheat crop has suffered a loss of more than 10 percent. There was more than 60 mm rainfall in the month of March. Again in the month of April there has been more than 50 mm of rain.

Last year, up to 15 mm rainfall was recorded. So far 10 percent of the crop has been destroyed due to excessive rain. Assessment of damage is ongoing. On the other hand, more than 20 percent of the vegetables sown have also been wasted. Due to continuous rain, there is a possibility of damage to the fallen crop.

Due to rain, grains of crops standing in the fields may turn black. After the rain, the Agriculture Department team has started assessing the damage. According to the Agriculture Department, there is no need of rain at this time. Excessive rain and wind will cause crop loss.

It has rained so far in the month of April

There has been 10 mm of rain on April 3, 8 on April 4, 8 on April 5, five on April 6, two on April 7, eight on April 8, 5 on April 9 and 5 mm on April 10.

what is the advice

When it rains in the fields, drain the water immediately. Due to standing water, the crop may get ruined if it collapses. On the other hand, vegetables, especially vine ones, may also be affected. Chop tomatoes, peas and other vegetables.

The rain continues continuously. Make arrangements for drainage of water in the fields. The fallen crops can now rot due to water. The damage is being assessed.
