Police and intelligence agencies have got a big success in the IED blast case that took place on the night of May 5 outside the BSF Punjab Frontier Headquarters in Jalandhar. According to sources, the main suspect of this terrorist conspiracy has been detained from Delhi. It is being told that this action was taken under the joint operation of Special Cell of Delhi Police and central agencies on the input of Punjab Police.

According to sources, the investigating agencies have found links in this case linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency and its Khalistani network. Pakistani don Shahzad Bhatti is being said to be the mastermind of the blast, who had kept in touch with the youth of Punjab through social media.

Caught in Delhi after chasing him from the bus stand

According to the information, the suspected accused was tracked from Jalandhar bus stand and chased till Delhi and finally he was caught. Security agencies are continuously interrogating him thoroughly.

17 youths have been detained

On the other hand, a big search operation was conducted in Punjab regarding this matter. Till late night, teams of police and intelligence agencies continued raids and investigations in Nakodar, Kapurthala, Nawanshahr, Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Hoshiarpur. Till now, a total of 17 youths have been detained and interrogated. Most of these youths are said to be in contact with Shehzad Bhatti through social media.

On the basis of technical input, Jalandhar Police has also detained 3 youths from Nawanshahr, who are suspected to be linked to this blast. High alert is on in Punjab regarding the entire matter and security arrangements have been tightened in many districts.
