Ishan Kishan toe injury: In many pictures going viral on the internet, Ishan Kishan can be seen lying on the ground groaning in pain, where physiotherapists are examining him. Indian players were practicing in the nets a day before the match against Namibia. During this, Bumrah’s yorker hit his toe, due to which he started suffering from pain. Nothing can be said yet whether he will play against Namibia or not.

New Delhi. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan was injured by fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s yorker. Ishaan suffered this injury during training on the eve of the second match of T20 World Cup Group A. The 27-year-old left-handed batsman from Jharkhand suffered a toe injury during India’s net session. In many pictures going viral on the internet, Ishaan is seen lying on the ground groaning in pain. And the physio is examining him. Ishan Tej got injured by Jasprit Bumrah’s yorker. Kishan left the nets after being hit by the ball on his left toe. He came to bat later but did not bat for long. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has not yet released any official update about Ishaan’s injury.

In the first match of T20 World Cup Group A, Ishaan appeared for India as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He opened the innings with world No. 1 T20 International batsman Abhishek Sharma against the United States at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 7 February, but could only score 20 runs in 16 balls with the help of 1 four and 2 sixes. The Indian team management and fans will hope that Ishan remains fit and available for selection for the match against Namibia.

Just before the match, star batsman Tilak Verma gave positive information about the availability of Abhishek Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah in the 18th match of T20 World Cup 2026. According to Tilak, Bumrah is available for the match against Namibia, but the final decision will be taken before the start of the match. As far as Abhishek, admitted in a hospital in Delhi, is concerned, he has been discharged from the hospital and his health is fine.

When asked about Abhishek’s health in the pre-match press conference held in Delhi on Wednesday, Tilak said, ‘When we reached Delhi, he (Abhishek) was examined. He went to the hospital for examination. I think he has been discharged from the hospital today and his health is fine. We have one more day for the match, so hopefully we will take a decision about his health by tomorrow (Thursday) and proceed accordingly.
