
A painful road accident on Damoh-Sagar State Highway on Friday evening shocked the entire area. There was a massive head-on collision between a truck and a Bolero in front of Gulab Baba Ashram located in Bansa Tarkheda Hinauti culvert. The collision was so severe that both the vehicles were blown to pieces.
After this accident, two bikes coming at high speed from behind also collided with each other and crashed. In the accident, four people riding the bike died on the spot, while three others were seriously injured.
Those who lost their lives in the accident have been identified as Jeevan Ahirwar, Suraj Ahirwar, residents of Bansa Tarkheda, Raju Chaudhary and Dharmendra Sirvaiya, residents of Magaron. It is being told that Suraj and Jeevan were real brothers and were going to attend a wedding ceremony, when this accident happened on the way.
Bolero driver stuck in steering
After the collision, the driver of the Bolero got badly stuck in the steering of the vehicle. After a lot of effort, the people present at the spot and the police took him out and sent him to the hospital.
There was chaos at the spot after the accident. A large number of local people and passers-by gathered. As soon as the information was received, Dial 112, Sagar Naka outpost police and Dehat police station in-charge Amit Gautam reached the spot with their team and controlled the situation. The injured were taken to the district hospital with the help of 108 ambulances and private vehicles, where their treatment is ongoing.
Officials took stock
Additional Superintendent of Police Sujit Singh Bhadauria reached the spot and took stock of the relief and rescue operations, while Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochhar expressed deep sorrow over the accident and assured financial assistance to the families of the deceased and gave instructions for better treatment of the injured.
Due to the accident, there was a long jam on the highway. Later, with the help of JCB, the damaged vehicles were removed and the traffic was restored smoothly.
How did the accident happen?
According to preliminary information, the truck was coming from Sagar towards Damoh, while the Bolero was going from Damoh towards Sagar. Meanwhile, both the vehicles collided head-on. After the collision, the bike rider coming from behind also became victim of the collision.
The death toll may increase
As soon as information about the incident was received, administrative officials including SDM Saurabh Gandharbha, Tehsildar Parul Chaudhary and Raghunandan Chaturvedi reached the spot. Police have registered the case and started investigation. Considering the condition of the seriously injured, the death toll is expected to increase.
