Prime Minister Narendra Modi Congress has expressed strong objection to the appeal to the people of the country to buy less gold, reduce the use of petrol and diesel and limit foreign trips. Congress national spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore has made a scathing attack on the central government, calling it a direct indication of the country’s deteriorating economy.
Responding in Shimla, Rathore said that after this statement of the Prime Minister, an atmosphere of uncertainty and insecurity has been created in the entire country. Rathore raised the question why the government did not mention any such economic situation before the elections? ‘Rahul Gandhi’s words came true, foreign policy also failed’
Rathore reminded that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had already warned that the country could go towards a deep economic crisis after the elections, which is now proving to be true. Along with this, he termed the foreign policy of the Center as a failure and said that due to pressure from America, the policy of purchasing cheap crude oil from Russia was changed, due to which the country’s economy has suffered huge losses.
‘Why should the public give up, ministers should stop their foreign trips’
The Congress leader bluntly said that if the economic condition of the country is really bad, then the Prime Minister should stop the unnecessary expenditure of his government before putting the burden on the public. The first thing that should be done is the foreign trips of ministers and officers and the excessive use of government vehicles. Describing the PM’s statement as a “sign of internal emergency”, Rathore said that the government itself does not want to make any sacrifice, it is only asking for sacrifice from the public.
‘It is wrong to compare with the 1971 war’
Comparing this situation with the 1971 war (when women had donated jewellery), Rathore said that at that time the country was fighting a war with Pakistan. Today there is no such emergency, so it is completely wrong to forcibly link every decision to the past.
Ice skating rink project started in Narkanda
Finally, while referring to his assembly constituency, Kuldeep Rathore said that recently elections were held unanimously in Nagar Panchayat Narkanda, for which he is grateful to the public. He said that to give Narkanda a world class identity on the tourism map, work has started on the ‘Ice Skating Rink’ project there.
