There was chaos on Bawan Road in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night when the underground PNG gas pipeline suddenly leaked. Due to the valve leaking, a loud sound echoed, hearing which the people nearby got scared. As soon as the information was received, DM SP reached the spot along with the fire brigade. And work was started to stop the leakage. The work continued till late night.
The cause of the leak is not yet known, either due to a heavy vehicle or some other way the pipeline has been damaged. There is no information about any loss of life or property. Many fire engines are present at the spot.
The leak started with a loud noise
The incident took place near the water tank located on Bawan Road in the city area, where due to gas leakage, an atmosphere of fear was created in the entire area. There was silence near the water tank located on Bawan Road in the city when gas suddenly started leaking with a loud noise from the PNG pipeline lying on the roadside. According to the local people, suddenly the gas pressure came out so fast that there was panic in the entire area. The local people immediately informed the administration, after which the team of the concerned department reached the spot and started bringing the situation under control.
People came out of the accident
DM Anunay Jha and SP Ashok Kumar Meena also reached the spot. DM says that the situation is being brought under control, at present there is no information about any loss of life or property. Due to leaking valve, the echo of the gas released was heard for a long distance, due to which people came out of their homes and shops in panic. To prevent any possible fire accident, fire engines are deployed at the spot and continuous water sprinkling or safety standards are being followed.
