Taking major action against illegal constructions in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, the Housing Development Council team sealed the Grand Square Complex located on Hapur Road. YouTuber Shadab Jakati also had a gold jewelery showroom in this complex. At the same time, the owner of the complex has filed a complaint against the housing development officials, accusing them of taking action against the rules.
The housing development team along with Lav Lashkar reached Grand Square Complex on Hapur Road on Wednesday. In the presence of heavy police force, the housing development team sealed the complex. There are about 200 shops in this complex. In which sealing action has been taken on all the shops. YouTuber Shadab Jakati also has a gold jewelery showroom in the same complex. Sealing action was also taken on the showroom of Shadab Jakati.
Notices were issued earlier also
It is being told that no notice was ever issued before regarding this complex which was built about three years ago. But recently Shadab Jakati opened his Van Gram Jewelery showroom here, after which this complex suddenly came into discussion. A case was also registered against Shadab Jakati for gathering a huge crowd during the inauguration. He was arrested but was released on bail from the police station itself.
Panic among traders
Now traders are surprised by the sudden sealing action. He says that the officials sealed the entire complex without giving any clear answer. There is discussion in the area that this action of the Housing Development Council has been taken only after the opening of Shadab Jakati’s showroom and the controversies related to it. At present, there has been no reaction from Shadab Jakati in this matter. On the other hand, there is resentment among some businessmen about Shadab Jakati.
